2 hens have been known to mate with each other but maybe it is a male. You will have to post pics as you said.

Are you using photobucket? If you have an account upload the picture onto photobucket. Then edit and go into your album. Run your mouse over the image and copy the IMG code. Then paste it in when your posting. It took me a while to work it out, but eventually I got it.

I'm not sure about mine, whether it's a hobby or not. I think it is a hobby though.

I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with curly toe in chickens? I have a chick with this problem. I think in my case the problem is genetic, because it has 11 toes!! He gets around fine and I think it's too late to straighten the toes so I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem as well.

as Kaz said, you can candle them. It takes approx 18 days for them to hatch. Mine are sitting on 5 eggs too and they were the same as yours, though yours started before mine.

Congrat!!! Why would they release them? Do they not know anything? I know I would prefer to see mine flying in the open rather than a cage but they aren't equiped to deal with it!
