OMG, another egg!!! Right on schedule!

Thanks! Marigold is constantly incubating at the moment, I think another egg is due today. For the first time, this morning I caught them in what looked like a successful mating position. I was getting a bit worried that none of the eggs would be fertile, since I hadn't seen them mating before.

Marigold has come out for a stretch this morning. The cockatiel tries to get through the cage divider because he thinks that their carrot tops are much better. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. He is just a baby though.

Will I probably get another egg tommorow? My Dad wanted to know how the embryo would stay alive if the hen doesn't sit until the second egg is layed, I need the answer to this one quickly, so I can tell Dad.

Grrrrrrrr. I just hate people who don't listen to me because a grown up said differently. I do pity the poor man, but it was for his kid.

Grrrrrrr. Has anyone walked into the petshop and seen the owner giving false information ? I went to the pet shop near me and saw a guy trying to buy a baby boy budgie to teach it how to talk for his 2 year old daughter. I was looking at the conditions of the budgies there. The cages were still the same way that they have been for years! I don't mean inside the cages, which all small, but in between them. The gunk in there is unbelievable! Anyway, the guy asked for a budgie that he could teach to talk and the owner said that a really old FEMALE budgie always sat on her hand. Anyway, I quickly pointed out the beak problems and that it was breathing very heavily. The guy, thankfully took my advice. Then he was shown another old female! He asked the petshop owner if it would talk and she said, 'oh yes! Of course! no doubt about it!' As the owner was packing the bird into a box, I tried to tell the man that it probably wouldn't ever even imitate anything, but he just said, 'Of course it will talk, I think that lady there knows more than you. Anyway, my mate has one and it talks!' Those were his exact words! Before I could point out the reasons why she wouldn't talk, the lady gave me the evil eye and lead the man over to the counter. I just hate it when nobody takes my advice because I'm a kid!

We have snakes in the garden, sshhhh... don't tell mum she doesn't know. I don't think they can get my bird, though.

Yep! I came in a few minutes after she layed and she looked pretty worn out. She doesn't have such a pronounced eggnancy now but it's still there. How many will she probably lay? I was doing the food and water and I looked through the hole of the nesting box and a little white round thing was lying beside Marigold. Skye mostly feeds Marigold through the nesting box hole.

She's sitting now. She has come out a few times since she laid the egg, but only briefly. Do they normally sit right away?

Yeah, really weird. The owners think he's just a regular albino.

I have a friend who has a budgie and when they got him he looked like a normal albino with red eyes and white feathers. But over a few years his plumage has changed a fair bit. He now has pale brown markings over the white. Sorry no picture but could anyone tell me what his mutation is?

Hi Ratsy thank's for your reply, If nobody knows about carrot seed heads I won't try to give them that. I thought I'd try them with sunflower seeds because I grew a couple for Rosella's that visit and some seed mix's have a few in them. I can only try them. thanks anyway hope your birds are doing well. A bird of mine had a ring that was balck with the numbers 98 on them. Does hat mean the bird was born in 1998?

Get a second opinion when your car is okay. I don't know about treatments but I know when I get a blister it pops on its own eventually. Maybe you should go with GB's advice.
