  1. Looks like the answer has been found. any close of of her wings? so we can have a look, in some shot they looks a bit like a spangle but that could just be becuase of the flash.
  2. Curry you will have to show us the bubs.
  3. Perwsonally since having set the birds up I would leave them and see. Your male spangle is also Opaline and it looks as if the blue cock is as well. I like the look of pair 3 the opaline sky blue hen and yellowface grey pied.
  4. GO ON DO IT!!!
  5. okay then so she is almost 12 months what are you wanting from the pairs? birds to help with showing or something colourful. With show it wouldn't matter what mutation the birds are (in this case) what you are wanting is nice all round birds for the show. Spangle to spangle have been shown to improve wing markings and the Double factors can minimum. Since it sounds like you have set up the pair already (spangle and spangle) i would leave it and see what happens, as a first time hen there is a lot she needs to learn.
  6. When you say the hen is a 2007 bird do you know her hatching date? she maybe too young as yet to even breed with. Hens need to be 12 month old (at least) before breeding.
  7. http://geocities.com/nerwenfuzz_82/genetics.htm and the mutations area of this site has pictures to look at and heaps of info.
  8. If dad is a double factor dominant pied which he looks like then all the babies will be single factor dominant pied.
  9. Glad they came Daz :hap: I hope the greens lasted for you!
  10. you can foster the eggs in the middle if need be, but becuase you had 100% success doesn't mean the next person will, the big issue is with the differance in heat which can kill the chick in the shell. As will all things it's best to be on the safe side.
  11. another lucky one with one of Kaz's birds :hap:
  12. Agree with Kaz :bluebudgie: also I would keep in mind that Blueboy and Bluegirl might be siblings if from the the same store at the same time. Treat Emo for scaly face and the rest of the flock as you have them all in together.
  13. there is a chance the younger babies being squished by the older sibling. If you want to foster then you are looking at a full clutch for Dawn to handle, do you feel she is able to care for the babies (I'm not sure if this a first timer or not) If you foster these eggs then Duchess would be ready to lay again sooner and still strong with only caring for one baby.
  14. coagulations on the eggs, I wish you well!
  15. congratulations on the baby

You need to go into your controls (at the top of page) and Edit Sig. Then copy and paste the img link of the picture you want to use into that space and save (update I believe it's called) Give it a go and any trouble and I will fix it up for you.
  17. that looks perfect and it's great news that the hen is liking the new set up.

  20. well since it SHOULD be there for an opaline. A normally marked bird showing opalescence is a fault right?
  21. pictures of what you have would help too. If i remember correctly, and i haven't read the info about brownwings for a while it is recessive.
  22. Yes Daz all from this clutch are ringed. I'm keeping the two spangles to see how they improve with age
  23. Kaz I'm so sorry about Barnsie
  24. And he flew over to the others at one spot:
