Split For Blue?
i say this bird is a green nto yellowface the blue feather picture doesn't show a a stong blue tone to the feathers (don't forget normal green do have blue included) and this bird is younger than Liv's. (which i would love to steal by the way)

What Are These?
-recessive pied green - sorry can't tell from this shot she is blue - olive normal - cobalt normal - cobalt normal on top green inside

What Colour Are They?
Neville gave the right answer.

Budgie Colours
yes he is a grey-green Rinbow is a recessive pied spangle and that last shot of Teala makes her a yellowface type 2 cinamon not green as i thought
-
Budgie Colours
Rainbow - yellowface type 2 skyblue pied. I'm leaning towards recessive pied but a picture of back might help. Teala - green cinnamon. What colour is the tail of this 'olive' bird. If blue then it is an olive which is a bird with two dark factors (green line) but if the tail is black then you would have a grey-green

Dark Factors In Grey Birds
I understand as well you want to know how to tell if a greygreen bird has none one or two dark factors. now this isn't something i've though of before and not sure if it is visable as the grey affects the fathers...

I Bought What I Liked...
top line is cobalt the bottom is violet. To my eyes they violet matches more than cobalt.

yes he has a iris ring. his type will get a ring as will most of the types. sorry i'm not sure which if your birds is Billy so I can't comment about the offspring.

Help
any ring on the bird? might give a better idea of age. I agree that the cere is too dark blue for a hen out of condition but doesn't mean this one couldn't still be a hen. (there is always an exeption to the rule)

Pearce's Budgerigar Blog

Yellowface Greys
the colouring will turn to what you see in grey-greens. This is Khepri HurdyBirdy's bird. You can see one green marks on the chest were the yellow has bleed. the colouring is pale due to the greywing gene.

Yellow Faced Grey Budgie's
the comments about safety and car of budgie and the extra details needed when breeding are not directly posted toward you Jodie, just adding the facts here for others reading that breeding bird isn't a simply matter of adding a box. Liv stated before that two yf birds will give you df yellowface bird appearing white faced, however your bailey is a yellowface type 2 and this doesn't happen, the offspring will still have yellowfaces. a yellowface type 1 (that has a pure blue body colour) can give white faced babies that are in fact a bird with two yellowface genes. 2-3 days is a aadverage. males will be split for cinnamon

What Is A Creamino
well listen to them. Ino's isn't a gene that i'm very interested in and tend to forget all but the basics with them.. but i do love the yf ino's

I'm Deciding My Pairs For Spring
there is no visual difference between the two, there is no reason why you can't breed them just that becuase grey is a very dominant gene it can take over the flock quickly as a df grey will only produce grey offspring, where as a sf grey can give other outcomes as well.

I Bought What I Liked...
yeah mouve would suit for that little one. Iris ring is a white ring in the birds eyes that appears around 6 months of age. a dominant pied gets this ring but a recessive doesn't which is a great way to check. No ring due to age of the budgie. Dom pied but ring comes later. Ring *Pictures of Kaz's birds*

Nope. the darkness of the bird depends on the dark factors. these birds look either light grey (no dark factors) or normal grey (one dark factor) for your dark grey you would want to look at using olives/mauves and grey. Violet gene would help as well as it is an adding factor that deepens the colour of the feathers. For this pair i would get Grey, Green and Grey green chicks. split for cinnamon cocks. Normal hens. 50% Spangle 50% normal For this pair i would get 100% green chicks unless she is split to blue. split for cinnamon cocks. Cinnamon hens. 100% Spangle chicks and hens will be opaline For this pair i would get DF Grey chicks. 25%blues, 50% greys (sf) and 25% greys (df) with no way of telling the greys apart split for cinnamon cocks. Cinnamon hens. 50% YF - 50% normal 50% Spangle - 50% normal For this pair i would get 100% violet chicks 50% violets and 50% normal blues. split for opaline cocks. opaline hens. 100% dominant pieds f she is DF dominant pied as she looks For this pair i would get 100% green (yellow based) chicks Split for Opaline cocks. Normal hens chicks split for blue (yf or normal) 100% dominant pieds For this pair i would get ??? ???? cocks. ???? hens don't know what id get, They would have yellow faces and a creamino would be nice is she yellowface? she loosk green to me in the picture, will go with yf for now. normal cocks (50% normal 50% yf) , albino hens (50% change of YF ino) split for cinnamon cocks
-
What Is A Creamino
i don't recall Ino to Ino producing small young like others can. AV - a YF hen to the Albino is yourbest bet, all the hens will be Albino and you just have to get the luck with one getting the yf gene as well.

I Bought What I Liked...
Agree Agree (although yellowface as well) Agree yellow face cinnamon spangle The pied is hard to pick but i would lean to dom. pied. There is a lot of body colour and the markings are high up on the wings. True answer will show around 6 months when an iris ring appears or not.

not getting DF greys then.

Being A Dog Groomer!
great job FGM, and yes get before and aftershots and keep notes on what style you did and blades used it will help in future if you need to look for work elsewere (which i hope you don't) as it will make a porfilo for you of your skills and work. plus you can show pictures to customers when they are not sure what cut they want.
