Orange Wings?
as I stated bleaching or better stated use of hydrogen peroxide has taken place. People TRIED to do this to a bird with flecking in the nationals a couple of years ago with this outcome (the birds where removed)

Help With Mutations, Please
I wouldn't say violet for the male as his cheek patches don't look that dark to me, but i'm not sure if it is camera or the lighting it appears darker than a cobalt, and in the two last shots almost grey, he could be mauve. And not opaline the second is a recessive pied hen yellow face type 2. She appears to look a bit older than the male, so they might not be full siblings but since they are from a pet store you can never be sure. do they have leg rings?

What Are These Three Birds
agree with Liv one the first and third. And as Neville said it is too young to tell with the 2nd chick on the type as type 2 yf's look like type ones until the first moult when the bleeding starts, although if the parents are a type 2 then you can be pretty sure the chick is as well. yellow on the wings could be a sign of a type 2 as well. as to the spot - they are always random with pieds just like the markings on the body of each pied. some have a lot and and some don't. she just happened to have a big pied spot on her head yet her young didn't. this is normal.

Genetics Of Yellow Face (australian)
yellow face only shows on a blue series bird - green is dom. to yellow face. So to get young appearing as yellowface in a clutch you need to be using a blue ine bird as the partner - be that another yellow face or a white face.
-
Pairing One
i like the cock bird. look forward to shots of the chicks later

Break It To Me Gently
they are all beautiful liv, keep up the great work with them. did the wing clip help?
-
Need Second Opinions
yes they are liv. I don't agree with the colours. 1. Cielito - YF 2 sky violet 2. Nixie - goldenface Opaline Opaline - the cheek patches do not show any darkness to them to mark the violet gene 3.Sonny - goldenface dom. pied violet - he appears way too dark to be sky voilet, as he is darker than a cobalt.

Wanted To Know Age
Australian dom. pied is what is normally just called dom. pied. there is another type of dom. pied called dutch dom. pied or more commonly known as clearflight dom.pied. agree with Elly
-
What Is He?
i was wondering about double factor dom. pied but it doesn't appear that any iris rings have appeared and the cere is still pink so as Neville stated recessive pied.
-
Wrong Result?
agree with Elly

Head Spots On Budgies
they appear on spangles because pieds where used an lot in their breeding when the spangle breed first appeared. as kaz said when eon a spangle bird it doesn't mean they are are split.
-
Danish Pied And A Violet?
the cere looks blue on the pied, is that the case? if so you have a hen or not a recessive pied (which the bird appears to be)
-
My Budgies' Mutations
agree with Neville as well
-
Lets See If I've Learnt Anything?
