  1. yep but you don't know the history so there is a chance for heaps of split genes to show up.
  2. it's your hen that is cinnamon so no possible cinnamon in the clutch unless the male is split to it. Only why to find that out is to find a cinnamon in the clutch The male offspring will be split for cinnamon.
  3. Slate or slate blue is an incorrect term for mauve I havn't seen many pet budgies in gey, and as i think about i haven't seen any but i may have and forgotten
  4. oooh daz I found a place that had pictures of brown wings, now where did i put that site name down. Bugger I lost it I will keep looking. okay Cinnamon only has brown wings. It's a fallow that had red eyes and brown wings. and some subgroups of that they have greyish wings. NO DILUTES HAVE BROWN WINGS. THey are all grey tones.

I knew this wasn't for speed. But it must be ckept in mind that not all budgie will breed with the one we pick for them. as Daz said, breeder that have more than one piar wil have by now given the piar up and swapped for another. Sometime removing the box and add it again a week or so later can help.
  6. as Daz said Buit the darkness of his wings don't match with a dilute. Sometimes opline can dim the head bars on a bird, but again the colour on his wings doesn't seem to match that either. So if we can gett some pictures to check out
  7. :ausb: I just saw the greywing dilute bit and jumped in. But greywing are really grey. If she is brown that makes her a cinnamon.

looking at it again, it might be an idea to move the stick to beside the food or water bowl ont he right to the back of the cage, through the bars. That way your littl one will have to flap crawl or climb their way over to it, more excerise that way :ausb:

budgie_lover how long have you ben waiting now? counting from when the box was added.
  12. *cough* No such thing. She is either one or the other not both at the same time. but she look closer to cinnamon to me then greywing.
  13. very cool go bluey and spangle and Greeny and Duey I was going to say that huey didn't look like she was in condition to breed then saw the comment that the picture as a few months old.
  14. well a greyish-blue. Not the birght normal blue you can see on the last one.
  15. He isn't a grey. Grey budgies have grey cheek spots, this one Liriel had dark ble ones, making him mauve. Looking at the other pictures on the site number four is a spangle as well.

an a mineral block, they are normaly found in a shape of a bell Up the vegges a bit, lots of fresh food to a budgies mind mean's a good time to breed. Your doing all you can I jut you have to wait.
  17. nice tip but please remember use a new brush not one that had been laying about the house
  18. As daz said the cere colour is blue not pink. The wing and head mkarings look like a recessive, but the dots of colour are higher than normally found on a recessvie. Also look closely and you can see the iris ring in the eye. Is it does look like an olive, but it's not really green enough Idon't think to match that, looking at it again I would stick with grey green. oh and the last is an opaline as well
  19. OOHH Me first What fun, should I wait or answer :hap: I can't stand waiting (Laughing out loud) 1.Double factore Dominant Pied Violet 2. (not 100% sure) Grey green Normal 3. Yellowface type 2 grey Dominant pied 4. Clearwing green 5. Green Clearwing and I believe tufted as well 6. yellowface type 1 7. sk blue opaline spangle 8. Yellowface type 1 Mauve. I want numbers one, three seven and eight
  20. Look at the wings, they have normal patterning then go clear around the flight feathers. Many dominat pied have clear flight feathers and patterning like this on the wings. Where as recessive have a more mottled look.
  21. AWW Best in show for me I want him. Reminds me of connie when she was young, so he might tur out looking more grey-green in the end. In the picture the cheek spots look blue not grey are they grey in reallife?
  22. :(Laughing out loud): It is and we are not the ones waiting to go and buy it. Bea must be 10 time worse than us.
  23. my fingers are crossed bea
