Out Of Condition But In?
They will still mate and have a box for them will strengthen the wish for breeding, but they will most likely produce clear eggs. It might be best to remove the box until her cere is almost back to the deep brown.

What Are My Babies?!?!?
Sounds like you are wanting to coleny breed, which many on here don't like, but it is up to the person to see which one is better for them. This might be helpful to read: http://www.budgiebreeders.asn.au/breeding.php or there my be something in the faq. It works better to leave the hen then add the male to her rather than the other way around, wellcactually not sure if 'works better' that is just how it is done. But really I wouldn't worry about the same sex couples, they form like that when young in the wild but easily breake off when the breeding season comes. As to waiting what is more important to you the taming of Belle or trying to get little fluff balls?

Possible Breeding Pair?
yellow face is dominant to the blue gene. AL all blues will have yellowfaces. That is if Sylvester is what we think he is.

Female Parakeet Gnawing
she shouldn't be feeding the male, hen's only feed their mate when they are sick. Are you sure the male is old enough? she might be treating him like a baby.

Calcium/cement Perches
Must say thanks to this thread I went out and check my Perch and noticed there was rust showing on the bit that held it to the cage, in easy reach for the birds to chew at. So it was removed then and there. I might have missed it with out this fresh on my mind.

Can Breeding Condition Come Right Back?
as Hath said I would remove the box again and let them settle, wh run allt he ricks of breeidng just to end up with clear eggs (which is more often when out of condition) Just let them bond and give plently of food and cuttle fish and watcher cere turn brown again, then re-add the box. If the rest of the condition are still good for breeding.

Calcium/cement Perches
I have one calcium branch, never like the idea of cerment ones, didnt think it was smart to let them near cement at all incase of chewing. But they don't eat this one they simply stand on it. I have cuttle fish which they all enjoy eating instead.

Mates For Life?
In thw wild they will stay together and in the avairy if left together they bond will stay (even if it looks like the males flirt with others) But you can break a bond in budgies by putting the hen alone for about 5 days and then introduce a new male to her. They will start to make a new bond. Int he budges mind the last mate has died.

Can Breeding Condition Come Right Back?
you can get babies from one that is not in condition but it's not the best time in the firtile cycle to breed them.

Argh! Make Them Stop!
yes me too I also forgot you take them out already anyway so maybe blocking off the box will work.
-
Spangle?or Not
yep that a spangle stunning birds they are *is bias*
-
Argh! Make Them Stop!
but putitng them out of the box before they have tryed it thems would be very shocking to them, once yu ahve seen them in and out a few times you can add a low box to them to hide under on the bottom of the cage and remove the box.
-
Argh! Make Them Stop!
how old are the chicks again? i would leave them be fore now until the young ones are trying out the big brave world and remove any eggs.

Help Identifying My Birds
He will become slightly birgher with his moult and yes he will be a turquoise colour all over. Have a look on her back and in the spot between her wings, the 'v' shape area, the feathers are blue like the body. On a normal bird this area would be white. The opaline gene changes the colouring of that area and the wings to the body color of the bird.

Does She Look Like She Has Any Grey In Her?
Grey wing doesn't not mean givin grey in the body of budgies. She could give the grey wing gene makig the babes have grey wings, but not any grey in the body. Grey wing is a dilute it simply reduces the amount of black in the wings (and sometimes bird) to turn t hem grey. But looking at the pictures I have never seen anything tha makes me thing of grey wing. The look more brown to mea which would mean cinnamn, which would also explain the light head bars.
