  1. But you just said his mum was Boris's mum that makes them half borthers. Unless I got the mum bit muddled up the first time.
  2. She is sometimes, tells him right off to if she isn't happy about it.
  3. Yay at long last I got everything ready and had a moment to move Marine and Tootie into my cage with the box attached As you can see in the pictures Marine was all excited Tootie wasn't as such. I was most glad that she was much calmer around my hands when I went to move her from cage to cage and I didn't get bitten!!!! Freckle was most upset that she didn't get moved close to the box, since she thinks she wants to lay again. It doesn't help with Pie all excited with the rain and what not I have decided that if nothing happens this time with these two I will try Pie with Tootie. He seems to like chatting up all the girls So now it's the waiting game.
  4. Didn't I post in another thread I want to see if that spot on the second is a pied spot or not And not to spoil your fun but dark wings and hear normal leads to normals. (but that can still be normal blue )
  5. happy birthday Blinkie.

Might be best to leave them quarentined until all signs have left the hen. To be sure that it doesn't spread and that both don't have any more signs. what stuff are you using?

it a good guess Lani since it's right. Just a question is that the cage he is going to be staying in? beucase round cages like that aren't the best for them, they like corners to 'hide' in when worried. and they are better longer than higher so they can streach their wings in flight better, althought I see he has one wing cliped. Did the shop do that? Some pet shops like to clip the wings on they birds.
  8. well your male is a yellowface spangle (possible opaline) so anything of the blue line would keep all th babies blue, unless you could find out the green is split for blue then you could get some greens and some blues. If you could get your hands on a violet that would look nice, but also any of the pieds gene would work as well.

cool, I love the look of them in the shops but theya re normally made of leather and other silly things That looks great Bea now how long is it going to last
  10. So that is one of Boris's brother's? Cute Yes he is opaline.

Normals are usually used to get better colouring I believe.
  12. Aww they look great together.
  13. thanks Bea It kinda slipped my mind. Scaly mite is contiguous so be exta mindful to wash your hand before and after handling the girl or changing food and water.

nice cage indeed. I have seen something like this before but didn't like the idea of spliting the room but for budgies and tiels it's a great idea.
  15. wow that set up looks great Seems the other two didn't want to mix with his sort

Great to hear they are still goig well, yes it's normal for mum not to be with them all the time now in the box, Dd would be doing a lot of the feeding now and they all have down or normal feathering and so can keep warm themselves. It quite safe now to handle themfor around 10 minutes at a time so they get use to hands and such and a very tame once flying free.
  17. well I can see now two have the ino gene. If dad isn't split blue then they will be lutinos. But STUNNING pictures and I can't wait to see more.
  18. Wow I can't see it either!!!! I just thought he was a green.
  19. Aww that's great to hear, the fact they you took her in not that there is something wrong with her. I first thought of scaly mite too from what yuo said, I will hunt around for the topic that Bea made and add it there theny ou can say if it looks like that or not. Names- Angel, Sugar, Sweetpea, Chena

It still kind looks like one to me. Greenie is a normal looking bird but she could hide a pied gene. This is ringo around that age:

  22. *Nerwen* replied to Daz's topic in Budgie Pictures

Aww they all look so Cute Your doing great work as a grandma. Don't worry about offering them food Dad (and mum) will lead then out of the box around 4 weeks could take up to 5 before out and another 2 weeks before they learn to feed themselves fully. If you have soft or fresh food for mum and dad they will happily try that when ready and learn to eat healthy stuff from the start.
  25. They are all so Cute lucky you. I have a pied with a white patch and blue patch, it's is cool
