Strange Gender Question
This one is a hard one to tell and the best way to find out to to wait a bit longer to the cere to turn fully brown tan (female) or a bright blue (male). But the way you stated that s/he had a blue cere and white rings from the time you got him/her leans in favour of a girl becuase young female budgies have that coloured cere while it is the males that have the pink cere that you spoke about.

My Lutino Hasnt Got Red Eyes.....?
Why am I not surprise the pet shop got it wrong? I wonder did you have to pay extra to have a lutino? Also I saw your other thread about his feet and that picture showed up the green better and I'm believe him to be a dominant Pied. That would match the cere colour too.

Not Got Smooth Pink Legs
They do look a bit too flakey for normal, scaly mite came to mind but you said he has had this all his life and for that length of thime scaly mite would have travel to his face and gotten worse. Eterri might have a better idea. I would add though if it is worring you a trip to an avian vet might help sort the problem out. Even just to have peace of mind.

My Lutino Hasnt Got Red Eyes.....?
as Lovey said that what he looks like. But to me his cere looks blue which doesn't happen in recessive pieds. Can you tell us if he has a white ring in his eye this is the iris ring. And if he cere Is really blue or just looks like in the picture.

White Faced Green
Yes I remember that and it was part of what made me ask. But (now I"m sure it's karen still) there was talk a while back of trying to get a green bird with a white face, before your wisdom came to us Just my brain has been buzzing with budgies, when does it ever not I know : But it's extra strong right now I'm even dreaming of wierd coloured birds. (something like a blue greywing pied with semi spangled wings) So Will I get an answer to this? Or are you keeping it all underwraps.

B R E E D I N G H E L P ! ! !
Sounds like you are wanting to colony breed in the future, if so then vairety is the worse thing to do. THe hens will fight over what they think is the best box, which might be the highest one or the biggest. IF they are given boxes that are all the same size and hunga t the same hight and the same way it will lessen this behaviour but there are still big risk to breeding like this. But many do so and don't have any issues with the birds.

About The Violet Factor
I love all your birds Rainbow. Yes I think she carried the gene if what I understand about the patches is correct. Violets can come with none, one or two dark factor genes which also alter the colour in the body.

Mutation Scavenger Hunt
Yes that's the the type I want  Pick another as to the other question it's bit hard to tell. Single factor violets look like a cobalt. But the check patches are very dark which I seem to remember is a possible sign of a bird being violet. Help at all ? (Laughing out loud)

So Confussed!
The egg will not hatch any chick now, it's been too long and they have gone cold. I would removed them. If the hen isn't showing any signs of interest to the box any more removed it for a week before adding back if this are still in condition to breed. OR you can remove the box and read up HEAPS before trying again in the future.

Ringing Time.
:hap: Of cuase I keep forgetting about the showing side of things. Knowing me I would put the ring upside down on the leg
