  1. all so very cute. Your going to have lots of fun picking Elwood from Skylar later
  2. Thankies. I love how it shows the differance in blues in all of them. It's also hard to tell the yellowfaces for the white ones with all the carrot stains around the beaks :(Laughing out loud):
  3. yes daz and I think I've already give a life story on what to do in each case :(Laughing out loud):
  4. Yeah That's the bit that is worring me. I'm leaving for camp tomorrow. I know they all eat the fresh stuff for breakie. The oldest can eat seeds and I have seen some feeding each other. Scuttle is 34 days old. I'm an a worrier though.
  5. Well I moved the 'blue' family cage out next to the other and it was an interesting result. Marine went nuts trying to get as close as possible while Freckle and Pie did the same in their cage. So after a lot of flapping and grumbling, beucase the babies wanted to copy dad. I moved Marine and Tootie back to the big cage. Marine went straight into it Flirting BIG time with Freckle (his MUM) Of cuase Pie was not happy with this Neither was Freckle really and she told him what for! Ringo of cuase tried to get a bit of the attention at the same time Things settled down after a few moment. Marine was super flirty he even tried it with Jangles later one ( S/he was kinda interested so somethig might happen later to tell me what gender I have) The babies behaves like any kids do out of the sight of the parents...brats. But they too settled down fine. ( I was watching all this while I cleaned the water dishes with the baking soda and salt and hot water ) I went out just now to check them all and this is what I found: how cute is that I realised they were used to being covered at night and so did that for them after the quick photo shoot to give them comfort. I just realised Berry has a green tail while Echo has a blue one YAY another thing to pick them apart.

well in fact alot of them do.
  7. sounds like your mum is too far away, where are the dogs going? can Bobby go with them? Uless the dogs are off camping with you If the camp place allows dogs (or pets) I think a bird would be fine. have the tent shut while fixing water and such and he can be out in the sun with you. I have heard of others taking a bird camping with them. I'm off for the weekend too I have a bird sitter coming to care for them all. Lucky me.
  8. There was on I really liked form that site I think it was number 14. It was not an vampire one
  9. aww that one I saw at the shope looked like Ozzie but more blue on the bottom half and very pastal shades
  10. ooh YAY They look good together. Dark eyed clear girl is so cute.
  11. Awww He is a darling.
  12. Also sounds like you have the smaller pet type budgie rather than the show line budgie which are breed larger for a standard. Don't need to do anything extra than any other budgie. I'm moving this to this to the correct area
  13. Riebie just look at bea sig and there is your dream bird :dbb1: (ozzie)
  14. *Nerwen* replied to a post in a topic in Breeders Discussion
shouldn't a worry to live together but not a good idea to try and breed with the spare male in the cage with them.
  15. no way to tell by looking at the bird. You know know split when you know the history of the bird. If you odn't know then it's all a fun surpirse. I can't believe I didn't see this daz :dbb1: good post.
  16. *Nerwen* replied to Shann's topic in Budgie Pictures
    wonderful
  17. It sounds like they are ona great diet already. Pellets and vegges. Mine go made for the egg when feeding young ones and love grated carrot as well.
  18. LusoPeriquito your stunning boy is a yellowface type two. The confusing thing is “sea green” is also used to explain the colour of YF's too. Looking again if the bird is light green then greywing would fit.
  19. cuase he is my brother.. I love the boiling idea might have to start doing that myself now too. I known boiled water kills weeds safely and quickly.
  20. Gee I thought something was wrong with that bird on the front. I was thinking PBFD but it's a 'Japanese Crest' Is there other that think that look is just wrong??
  21. Ohh glad he is doing well. I have my fingers crossed.
  22. aww sorry to hear about snow :fear he might be ready to make one of these ones babies his in the spring. Rusty and Patches sound like they would have cute babies.
  23. How big is the hole? It can take 24 hours to hatch. I don't like to help hatch the chicks I did that to one of mine and he died :fear I found out later I damaged the cord becuase it hadn't removed from the side of the egg yet. If your willing to do something I would just remove the egg from the head that way the hen could feed it and he can kick the rest off when ready. I can't say if that would work or not just an idea.
  24. Hi and welcome. Your in the same area as me and another member. ( I'm sure he would mind me saying but it's his right really) This is just me but I like to give the correct names to things and I might be able to get another interested in genetics and mutations. Cheeky is called a yellowface. There are two types the first only has yellow on the head the type 2 gets a 'bleed' of yellow into the blue making some feathers look green. I love this kinds and most of my flock/family are this and they all look different. Spangles are my other fave :fear We look forward to seeing them all and any babies they have later. Have you plans on who to match to who? oh and don't worry if the bit above with the colour didn't make any sence to you
