A male for Ringo, a male baby to grow and match with Reep and a hen baby to match with either Echo or Squeaker (which I think is now staying as that ) And then two unrelated one to pair up with each other so I get another family group.

YAY I finally got there I think the grin on my face will not fade for a million years. It was great standing there and watching the birds fly out of the small cage I moved them with into the big open space. At first the crashed into the wire with shock. Silly Ringo cashed into the wall at one point which had be paniced but it wasn't hard. She did worse the first time she got away from me as a baby and crashed into the window making her cere bleed a bit. The babies where the last to come out of the cage but did better at settling down then the grown ups Reepicheep need a finger help to test out this new home, then she was having a ball in momment ripping at the bark. The photo are through the wire becuase I forgot to take it in with me and didn't want to stress them much this first day. And can anyone guess the mother of this little lass? : This is little Connie the sister of Marine and Ringo. I'm looking after her again for her mama. DOn't feel bad that you didn't give him fruit and such becuase you didn't know. 7 is a great age for a budgie even with fresh food some don't make it to that age. Have you ever been shown how to trim a beak? I can't talk since I havn't but I would thing it needed to be trimmed to a point like normal. Your right with the testicular cancer and such turning a males cere brown and would be best to see an avain vet like others have said to pin point the problem and get a treatment for it if any. WHile there the vet can trim beaks as well showing the way. I'm just worried with the blunt end he is will have trouble to pick up seeds and de-husk them.

I'm wanting to add some wood like a swing later and I had an idea to put a fly screen (the one that is in strips) infront of the door to keep the bird away from that spot as I go in an out. I will have photos of them all tommorrow for you. Yes I keeping Echo and Reepicheep....... and Berry and Squeaker.... It seems the rest of my family are not birdie folks. Oh well. So what do you think of it? Edit to add: I did change one thing after I took the photos and that was the thing the three hoops was hanging off I changed it to another branch which gave yet another small spot to sit on, and play with the toy.

Things are going well During the week I scrubed the walls twice and the two planks that were bolted in that I left. They will make a good place to put the fresh food on. I got heaps of branches off a gum tree that someone (don't panic I know them) had cut down. The are sitting around ready to be set up. This afternoon I got the gravel and sand and finished off the cage floor. It's looking great. Woohoo I'm almost done!! Last thing now is get the branches and toys in place and then the birds. Oh and fix the wire first *hits Head*

This choice is up to you and what you think is best for your bird. Just remember to Quarantine the new bird for a month to be sure she or he is healthy. Is he tame? If so you can spend some more time with him now and after around a week the bond the two birds had would be broken. If you enjoyed watching two birds playing together and thing he would be better with a new friend then by all means head out and find another little angel.

I would just keep an eye on her still, it does seem like a lot of blood. And it sounds like she had trouble passing it. Of all the eggs from m hens none have had any blood on them even the ones that fell to the bottom of the cage and ignored.
