  1. stunning shots Kirby :wine Sorry I didn't aswer before sometime I just look and move on Love the comment on the last one Eggnant I hope Tootie is Eggnant soon too.
  2. Kirby and Lovely: Clearflight spangles is possible, normal spangle do have the faint lines on the flight wings as well. Rose is a Domiant Pied Opaline Spangle ( she has no markings on the flights) and Harley is an Opaline Spangle. Karen the baby is a bit hard to tell in the pictures, it's possible he is a lightly marked spangle as Lovely said or mabye s/he is a pied spangle. S/he isn't a DF spangle becuase of the blue cheek patches. Macie looks Opaline in that picture, but I know she is a cinnamon, I don't think any dilute is in play, the cinnamon gene lightens all the colour on hte bird don't forget. With Prince you could get: DF Spangles and SF spangles in either grey, cobalt or mauves, depending on how many Dark Factors Macie has ( I think she might have one but it's hard to tell becuase of the cinnamon gene) If Prince is the one with the violet gene then violets are possible as well. All the boys will be split for Cinnamon. Oh and I just remembered the voilet baby is opaline as well that had to have come from Dad so you could get Opline Spangles from them as well. (all girls) Now did that help?? I want little Flash Karen :wine How could anyone pass him up. I love the name too.
  3. all 9???? I thought there was only three, or did she continue to lay eggs afterwards?? There is a chance all can hatch, as to fostering out this is only done if you have another pair set up which you can transfer eggs or babies to that nest, not into a single bird. If your super worryed you can remove the last few egg now before anything has a chance to 'grow' or get some handrearing formula and get ready to help with feedings if need be.
  4. I think you have the wrong dad for that boy, he is a opaline spangle and to get a spangle one of the parents must be one as well. He will be carring the fallow gene from Mum which means you have a fallow X split fallow match which can prduce 50% fallow and 50% split fallow.

sorry to hear your first couple didn't work out Kelly. I hope oyu have better luck this time with the nw pairs. if you do you will have some great looking babies.
  6. I like the second lot as well :wine
  7. yes YF have dark factors as well, with the adding of the yellow it will change the grey to a grey-green look which will make him look darker.
  8. Found the carmera :wine So I have some pictures for you. Marine is still singing away strongly As always. Kree joined in with him a bit yesterday but still wants to pretend the bully cage mate doesn't exsist. It's nothing major she will just fly to the perch he is one and case him to jump to the ground, she doesn't case him all around the cage all the time and no actal contact has been made with beak and feathers. I know Ringo is still in her cicle since I bothered her at just the wrong time yesterday afternoon when I got home which cuased her to lay an egg out of the box. Not that I would have let her keep that one since I know it's empty. She was laying eggs in Tweetaville which was the reason I pulled her out in the first place. At least I know she knows what a box is for On tot he pictures: Ringo and Kree: Kree and the mess Ringo made of the shavings: Ringo: Marine and Tootie: Flirting:
  9. wonderful shots again Karen, thanks for taking time out of your puppy feeding, glass work and caring for Ken duties to show us the work so far Have all the puppies got a home yet?

Hath was asking you do give the info to him in a Private Message. It's like an email on the forums only you and him will see the info.
  11. again the sign of an iris ring (which can be seen in the first picture) rules out DEC's they do not get them.
  12. that's great to hear It's always good to find a good pet store.
  13. Thanks guys Pics still to come the camera has been moved and I can't seem to find it.

    very cute
  15. Aww hugs from me too. Sorry but I thought you have section two set up as well already and where seperating them into those two areas for the time being (juveniles and adults)
  16. On the weekend I pulled out Tootie and Marine and set them up for breeding. She started to dig in the box on Sunday and I cuaght them mating Tuesday morning. So they should have some eggs appearing soon. Also on Saterday I removed Ringo since she has been a bossy boots and flirting a bit to strongly with her father. I might get told off but I thought I'ld introduce Kree to her in another box. Things have not being so well with this pair. Ringo is still acting her true bully self and doesn't even want to know Kree and I think he might be afraid of her :fear Nothing major has happened. I thought maybe a box with the cage might give them the idea to get along but althought Ringo as being in it and digged to her hearts content, Kree still isn't interested in flirting with her I realised this is the first time I've paired up some birds that havn't had a bond to start with, so it's a different feeling. But Kree has at least now tryed carrot, sprouts and Millet since being with Ringo, which is at least a plus. So I'll try and get some pictures up for you soon, maybe this afternoon. Oh and Pie swung right back to Freckle the day I took Ringo away :(Laughing out loud):
  17. DEC should be listed as Recessive and dutch dominant pied on the calulator. I think I can't see that site right now. But Daz did some great work for you there
  18. congrats Kirby
  19. so glad that Cricket is doing well and that the pups are getting some form of food into them. How are the budgie settling into their new homes? Are they liking the new layouts? I would think you're feeling better about the seperation now. Less worry about babies trying to nest and such.
  20. No Lutino's have white flight and ( i think) tails
  21. Rainbow we had a talk about the top one here: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....topic=11215&hl= There are more pictures that might help. All SF spangles, the males will be slpit for cinnamon and ino

:(Laughing out loud): daz, I would love to know the lotto numbers too. There isn't a big decrease in chance of having firtile eggs from first times to seasoned breeders. The trouble come with egg tossing/eating, not feeding chicks or attacking chicks. Candling is a good way to check but do not throw any away if you are not experanced with it. You can mark them with a ? so you can tell later if they hatched or not so you can learn to see the signs.
  24. It's not a DEC becuase of the iris ring. I'm with Rainbow in thinking she is a dilute.
  25. OF MY Karen, I have all my finger and toes crossed that Cricket is fine and that hte puppies start to feed better
