What Can I Expect From This Pair?
(warning that I can't see picture right now) But daz the spots arn't always a sign of Opaline Berry has HEAPS of spots like a Opaline but she isn't. Mum was one and as I found out Dad is split for it. okay now having seen the picture I think she is, the grey seems to be strong around the neck and 'v' shape like it would for an opaline.

I fixed my eggs to be correct, I will not add Ringo's egg to the race I'm hoping to get home and find another egg in tooties this afternoon

A Shelly Question?
yep i think so too, Freckle kicked hers to the other side of the box and I believe Tootie ate hers as well, although I know I removed one that had sat there for a few days.

Sex Of White Budgie
okay rip's out hair with all different question back to the first issue of the white birds, if as you have now told us the eyes are dark it rules out albinos (yes thay have very strong red eyes like a red pen sort of colour) and there are iris rings appearing. Which give us the answer of: Double Factor Spangles. Very stunning birds, they are both blue lined birds and when matched to anything but another DF spangle all the young will be a single factor spangle which is what my Freckle is. Your 'green' male, I'm glad my site helped to work out he is a yellowface type two like you thought, see even I can be tricked with these birds. white birds are blue lined birds and are recessive like the blue gene to green birds. Albinos are bird with the Ino gene PLUS the blue gene. There isn't ONE gene that removed both the yelllow and blue from a birds feathers (this is what I think Lovely meant to say)

Sex Of White Budgie
okay gotten a little confused. Are you saying there is an iris ring on the pied or the white birds?? It might be just the angle but he doesn't look like a goldenface to me. You would get green dominant pieds and green normals unless he is split for blue then you can get blue dominant pieds and blue normals as well. Sorry The little bit I could see looks yellow to me, but real life is the best to go on, in that case she is a cobalt dominant pied opaline.

Budgie Breeding Sounds?
It's still a hope and some of the violets i've seem sure look like they hold some pink in them Look at karens thread and the little girl Yasmin

A Shelly Question?
a few things can happen, mostly the two egg halves get kicked to the other end of the box. Sometimes the eggs shells get kicked right out of the box and as you asked the mum or dad can eat it. If you have wood shavings in the box it can easily get hidden by that.

Budgie Breeding Sounds?
aww at last I see them I love sky. I'm a big fan of pieds. We are getting closer to a black budgie, they now have blackface budiges that have the bars all over the head and a dark grey budgie. I haven't heard of anyone close to getting any pink looking budgies yet but those two clours are the dreams of everyone.

Sex Of White Budgie
still seem to be two big... Am I missing something all I seem to be seeing are Dominant pieds (possible Double factor) and a green normal Ahh okay I got to your whole photobucket albun and found the white ones. I'm not sure the eyes looks redish. Paddles did you tell us if they had bright red eyes in real life or not? I think your right with the sexes. The mum with the bubs looks to be a yellowface type 1 dominant pied opaline. THe male you want to add the white hen to is a grey dominant pied and the other male is a normal green

Breeding Time
Woohoo we have a thrid entry into the race Kirby you might like this picture: As you can see there isn't a differance in colour to the eggs, the colour at laying isn't a big sign since nothing is formed until about a week afterwards.

Egg Color?
aww congratulation on the bub.

Budgie Breeding Sounds?

Yellow Face Blue Type Ii X Normal Skyblue
don't hold your breath for any suprises, they can happen of cause, kirby can be split for any of the sex linked genes (opaline and others) and they can both be split for any recessive gene.

Finally! Theres Action . . .

Sex Of White Budgie
close lovely, but a DEC male should keep the pink cere like a recessive pied would, a Double Factor spangle male will get the blue cere like normal.

Breeding Time
:(Laughing out loud): I think Kirby has the head start, but then again tootie's last lot had a few hatch a day early Both spent the night in the box since they jumped out when I uncovered them this morning. Not sure if having an egg means Ringo will ignore Kree even more or not at the moment. Daz I knew about the rain so I was jumping for joy for two reasons last week, one simply becuase it was raining and two before I had just set these guys up. Rain to the wild birds means fresh seeds and a lot of them very soon the perfect time to bring up a family. Which is another good reason to start giving greens when breeding even if your birds haven't touched them before.

All Budgies Gone
OMG Jenene I'm so so sorry to hear this, make up a lost flyer now and pass around your neibourhood put up in shoping centers and give to selters/rspca. Put out a dish of seeds on the ground just inside the cage maybe some will find their way back. I can't believe someone would do that! Well I guess I can since I padlock mine, but I also have a fear of leaving doors open since I once did that as a kid at my granddad place and caused a fight with his chooks. But I'll have my fingers crossed that someone out there can find your feathered family to give them a good home.
