  1. :(Laughing out loud): :(Laughing out loud): Boy I have 6 pages to this story already and not even a pink blob yet matari - like that one too :fear and these two : Tallara, Tinka :(Laughing out loud): Now I'm going to have the touble of picking one out of all the nice ones to use
  2. wow karen that's a lot more than I was expecting when I first started to read the list I like a looks a a few of them like Kamu and Kinta....oh that's two K names I might give them to the eggs under Ringo but I didn't read them all, I will later.
  3. Mine will hatch on Friday, so a day after you, and karen I do need a few names for the later ones, at the moment I only have three lined up and 9 babies to name
  4. well i think it take around 2 weeks to a month. but this is just from memory of my hens.
  5. seems or starting the right track but putting him as woodie does with the cover and all so there is nothing 'fun' to do make the time alone conected to no fun. Even using another cage for the time out will help so he doesn't come to hate his home. You can try the sudden act of blowing in their faces while they bite or dipping your hand so they have to focus on balance and stop the chewing.
  6. aww cute ones :dbb1: I hope you get one like Dad too but the Type II (what mum is) is dominant over the type I. Good bubblegum finding a new lady love :ausb:
  7. Sorry I would have been right next to you with fist raised :ausb: All budgies are cute even the normal green :dbb1:
  8. well acutally I think the two in the first picture are females.
  9. it's the only other thing to do :dbb1:
  10. Only things like patforms for them to rest on and such, correction of the problem can not happen now it needs to be caught very early in the nest to get corrected.
  11. Yes I've heard of it, i think it's also called cranker. If I had my health book I'ld look that up to be sure. I hope she was a good little girl for a vet and make sure you keep a close eye on the others for signs. Hug to you and little (porka) Jelly.
  12. The hens in budgies will always have the brown crusty cere no matter what their colour is. With males there are some type of colours that keep the pink cere of a baby boy. All the red eyed mutations keep the pink colour as do recessive pieds and DEC.
  13. Oh No poor Jelly, I hope she is okay, let us know about the vets

I guess Mister Comet need to have a while of 'alone' out of cage time
  15. It will be interesting to see Daz. Thanks Karen I'm itching for it now and there is still a few days to go yet.
  16. :(Laughing out loud): WOnderful shots, i love the first one and the upside down one. In the first shot Squee looks very much a boy :budgiedance:
  17. No it was cracked from the bars on the bottom of the cage, it wasn't that close to the nest I think she might have laid it while on the branch. But she is happy and moving easily. Poor girl,do you have any others set up? Ringo laid another egg too today sometime which is on time for her again. All warm from her sitting. Friday I hope the first hatches form Tootie.
  18. sound like a better plan :budgiedance: I found an egg at the bottom of the cage this morning in tooties and Marines cage and paniced that she threw one out! but there was no writing on it, so she laid a late egg last night, I hope she is alright and isn't going to lay another. She is still stilling happily on the eggs. Since I had to bug her to check her after finding that I checked all the egg and the last one has the start of red lines too
  19. good to hear that :budgiedance: You take such great care of your birds I'm sure they all think they are in heaven
  20. Yes its normal for the male try mating everytime the hen leaves the box no matter the age of babies, she will do as your did and tell him off until she is ready again.

i think it's the act of bonding and such that has set off coco more than any possible mating between bars, but I think it could be possible.
