The Breeding Season
Yes, too much oil in our warmer climate causes issues with the birds health. I have found other ways to give the birds what they need in the way of Vitamins.

Spangle To Spangle Pairing
Should be a good pairing. The Double factor Cinnamon birds will have less suffusion as the cinnamon gene will lighten this. It's a good pairing for double factors. Remind me who the birds are Kaz. I like the hen, she has good shoulders.

Golden Cob is very good.- Building Breeding Cabinets
Hi All just an update on these cabinets. As many of you know, I love recordes. I keep them every day. Here is some facts. I haven't increased the number of cabinets from the previous season I started later in the season. May instead of March. I took the birds off the old feeding on to a simpler feeding. Results for this season. I had an increase in chicks from 128 to 146 14% increase over all in the season. But an increase of 34% in breeding from the months of May to February. Previous season I bred 108 duing those months. This season I bred 145. So I think the factors of better feed and maintenance and the new cages with wire dividers helped with the breeding program. Next year I am starting to breed at the end of June through to December. I'll see how that goes.- Ipswich Annual Show
Karen is this another 4:00pm finish? If so I'll be there but not with the birds. I'll show at the next one.- Cage & Aviary Birds 1974
I feel that it is genetic. All of my Mops can be traced back to two birds in another aviary. I have asked that breeder if he has records and his are the same. I keep good records and haven't had a mop / duster in over a year.- Not Eating.
Thats good to hear.. If you go to Brendale Produce, you can get good budgie seed. It will be cheaper in the long run. A lot of the cheaper seed mixes you buy from the Supermarkets can carry a lot of "filler' seed that the birds don't eat. You are then buying seed to throw out.- Prbs Annual Show
A Quick Add. I found a photo of my bird that won Best PRBS Rung Bird - Novice. BRASEA Award for best AOV/AOC Standardised in Show. Darkeyed Clears show under the banner of AOS/AOC Standardised.- Materials
I have been using 9mm cd plywood but have new ideas for a combination of 12mm and 9mm CD plywood. Model no. 9 I got the Idea from Bob Smith.- Please Can You Tell Me If These Birds Are Show Quality?
Both would be best to use as Stock birds. The Spangle Cock needs better mask and wing markings. I see he is missing flights on his right wing. The hen needs more top end, she has nice directional feathering and the mask in depth is not too bad. Spots could be better.- Prbs Annual Show
okay Photo Time. Just a few of the birds... Mine are amoung them- Green, Green & More Green

I'm sorry for your loss. A thought for you WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME, AND I'M NOT THERE TO SEE, THE SUN WILL RISE AND FIND YOUR EYES, ALL FILLED WITH TEARS FOR ME I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LOVED ME, AS MUCH AS I LOVED YOU. AND EACH TIME YOU THINK OF ME I KNOW YOU'LL MISS ME TOO. BUT WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME, PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND, AN ANGLE CAME AND CALLED MY NAME AND I STEPPED UP ON HER HAND. SHE SAID MY PLACE WAS READY IN BIRD HEAVEN FAR ABOVE BUT THAT I'D HAVE TO LEAVE BEHIND ALL THOSE I DEARLY LOVE IF I COULD RELIVE YESTERDAY EVEN FOR A LITTLE WHILE I'D FLY OVER AND KISS YOU JUST TO SEE YOU SMILE SO WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME DON'T THINK WE'RE FAR APART FOR EVERY TIME YOU THINK OF ME I'M RIGHT THERE IN YOUR HEART.- Quarantine For New Birds
I thougth Megabac-S was devoloped by an australian company called veta farm based out of Wagga? Correct but try to get it... It is easier to get Fungalin. The active ingredient is the same. By The Way I'm a member of Vetafarm. They have some great products.- Line Breeding / Inbreeding...
This is a discussion that comes up from time to time. There has been many people change there minds on the subject and worth another look.- Quarantine For New Birds
It will be hard to get Megabac-S in Australia. Fungalin is the same medication. Pearce.. I see that your from Ipswich. There is a great club there. Let me know if you need the details.- Quarantine For New Birds
Great Advice from Kaz.. Test and treat if evidence is found. Kaz has experience and knowledge in these areas.- Is It okay
It is safe. A lot of times I will Pair a long bird to a short bird.- Quarantine For New Birds
This is a very good Topic for those that are buying birds to add to their existing flock. I personelly don't give any drugs to my birds with out cause. I would rather pay for a vet to examine the birds three times while they are in Quarentine to see if they require medication. > Here is an Excelent topic on Quarrentine< I surgest that you all read it. - Not Eating.
