okay he doesn't build the cage fronts but has someone that does. I deal direct with that person (cut out the middle man) The person that actually builds the fronts is very good. He does all mine.

Olive oil is a soother. Mixed with Detol it helps with injuries I agree, no good for Scaley Face but good if there is a scrape between birds. Also good for chicks that are getting feather plucked. The hens don't like the taste.

  17. All yellow-faced birds have suffusion of varying degrees, even double factored visual ones and a lot of it comes down to family genetics and variability of the mutation. The problems of identification happen because people wish to pigeon hole the suffusion. You can't do that because of the nature of the genetics of this variety. There is the possibility that the bird is a Goldenface/Yellowface composite. If that is so she will produce a a normal blue offspring. Breeding result can quite often show us what the bird's genotype actually is. Visual interpretation can only go so far. Goldenface single factor Goldenface double factor Goldenface/Yellowface Mutant 1 composite RIP I have seen many good Yellowfaced Blues and Greys that don't have suffusion at all.

I had a vet do the same thing and when I questioned him on the findings by Dr Phelan in an article for the WBO he quickly changed the subject In my case, I believed he was being sponsored by the pellet manufacturer.
