Baby Budgies...
Oh they are so cute it is hard to break it all up! They are now officially "seperated". I think the Albino T.C.B. pairing is going well as there is some different behavior today on both parts. I haven't been home much today but from what I can see he isn't hassling as much, he is singing a lot and she is sort of sitting with her wings down a bit and away from her body? Well off to the Chrissy Choir now...they asked for more male voices and I wonder if my 10 year old brother counts! Ha ha!

Baby Budgies...
I have 6 baby budgies between two large cages, the new ones that I mentioned in "My New Pastel Flock" topic. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=22908 I have three girls and three boys, the lutino cock (9 or so weeks old) is feeding and getting amorous with the yf cobalt spangle hen (3 months old) and whoever I put with them is picked on. Should I just seperate and have 3 hens in one cage and 3 cocks in the other? Is the noise from the amorous breeders in the same room encouraging them. These bubs will be at least another 10 months older before I will even consider them breeding and there is no where for a nest either. All advice appreciated, I have joined a Christmas Choir with the kids so I wont see replies till later. Thanks in advance!

Wonder Why I Bother
How did that happen? I feel sorry for your blind one, have you been in touch with the breeder again? Its just bad luck and a bad selection for you from the breeder. It'll sort itself out, sorry to hear it I hope things look up for you soon.

Mickey And Minnie And Molly And Tommy
Just reading through your posts on here it is so exciting yet so daunting! As a first timer after reading this I feel like taking the nestboxes of two of my cages and just starting with one pair breeding instead of three. If you are going through all this with one pair, what would I do with three times as many?! I also thought not though because if I need to foster then the others will be there. Well done and lucky you had Kaz and Co in your corner! Cant wait to read more, keep up the posts!

Introducing Ben!
Well Ben's new feathers are still coming through but are looking a bit on the shaggy side so the jury is still out on wether it is F.M. or not? Just thought I'd post these most recent photo's to see what everyone else thinks? He hasn't lost any of the new ones. He is beautiful all the same and I am still in love with his aqua colourings

Another "home made" D.I.Y. (do it yourself) thing that I do at home is I cover my bird cages with flanelette fitted cot sheets at night time. I love your tuille idea I will definately be making a couple of those, well done! Off to spotlight tomorrow (like I need and excuse to go shopping)!

Hi there, I have my Texas clearbody cock and Albino hen together. I noticed that they were buddies from the start. I was just wondering what behaviours that they display when they are going to mate? Will they make a nest first? Thanks, Trish.- One Last Mutation Question?
