My Lacewings And Working On A Line
no it was not same person but i only listen to three actually people whom i buy my birds from their stud on a regular bases and my club president as they know their birds and their history how the chicks develop exec i dont buy random blood anymore just one or two birds that may have something im lacking or missing and still only on seeing their line of birds their breed from as someone very wize recently told me unless they have a room full of trophy's then dont listen to a word they say just i did get disharteded as i thought i did well for lacewings i was told i wouldnt have much chance breeding them as i would never get to standard of our champion breeders in our club but i think the boys may enjoy a challenge in the club make it less tardy and tedious so i wont give them in besides the brothers are very welcoming and helpful not your norm stick in the mud competitive types they more than willing to help or i wouldn't be able to purchases their birds at all if they were so.... and besides i know it took them all years and i know it will take me years also im in no hurry and its a love a hobby more than competition to me kaz this is too true Give them a chance GB smile.gif ...........I recall an olive green chick once that was worse than pet sized tongue.gif and after 8 months in the aviary where I really just forgot about letting him go there.........I caught a bird up one day thinking WOW !! Where did you come from ?? ohmy.gif and realised once I caught him that he was that pint sized chick with A few extra "muscles and feathers" and wow what time gives to some birds !! Hasty judgements can result in other benefitting from our culls that do grow on with time biggrin.gif

Infertile Eggs
just leave them and next time she lays and you dont want her to breed just remove eggs from aviary if one or both are not in condition your just asking for trouble so much can go wrong even birds not feeding hatched chicks feather plucking heaps things mabe one she pushed aside was pushed aside to hatch rmember they rotate the eggs by pushing them aside and in colder weather eggs can take longer to hatch

Paralysed Feet ? Never Experienced This Before
try moving his legs for 10 minits twice day in a bike riding motion this really helped joey and you saw how quick he was improving i know you have less time than me kaz but really worked for joey the more often the better but just 10 minits each sitting and not ment to let him try purch vet told me for first month to put paper on floor for first week then the wire floor to incorage toe move ment then a very low natural stick one on each side cage one angled so he could try waddle up along it

Infertile Eggs
its not just about touching due to germs its about moving babys and aborting the fetus gloves would be pointless in preventing that if their are defenently any fertile just leave them she will toss out or eat intill first fertile one hatches if all infertile toss all out remove nest or block and leave in cage as kaz said for week or two to recover i lost one putting strate back after clutch when i started out i never do it now
-
Paralysed Feet ? Never Experienced This Before
if he hit the cage or someone was playing with him and the fell this also can do it i say its to do with the nerv preshure as joey was like this i did take him to vet and vet said it may or may not get better but would take up to two months he said keep byself in house and reguler movement of both feet by me to stimulate joey did great untill he fell a second time and got put right back to start so we decided he was better off to be put to sleep so although i know he did not fall i feel you could get him better vet said seperate as a bird even jumping on him could put the healing back a week or two good luck hun but it dfenntly a nerv thing i think what from i so would not know
