Would the blindness be genetic? Maybe its a nematode/tapeworm thing, they can cause blindness..?

Okay, so we have two lovely eggs. I think i heard somewhere that they may not sit on them untill the second or third egg. How do I tell if she is sitting on them? She is in the box all the time. When I cheak on the nest she is very very quick to exit the box. Im abit worried that she might be a very light sitter. There isnt much of her to sit on them either. Lol. Is there any stage at which I should consider incubating them? Although I presume that this may not be worth it. Also at what age should I candle the eggs? Oh sweetheart. I know exactly how you feel. I just lost my most beloved boy not long ago. Nothing will help the pain. Im sorry. I cryed for the whole night and the next 2 days straight. I was completely void of tears. I tear up just thinking about him. You have time to say goodbye if you need to, just appreciate her, and love her with everything you have. Remeber the good times. Im sure it couldnt have come at a worse time. Im also struggling to pass uni - I know how hard it is. Cry Cry Cry untill you cant cry any more. It will help you heal. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on his possible genetics? People say he is a cobalt, but is he dark factor and stuff? And what possible alleles could he have etc? CHeers!

Do you mean they would role back instead of falling back? When i said use the ply before thats what i ment. Like a fake bottom, but i was taking about ply that is only like 1/2cm thick, cutting a hole in it and then sanding the sides to a slope..?

she hasnt laid in the concave. She has laid away from the concave on the flat bare floor of the box. she has pushed the shavings onto the concave. Maybe I should put a bit of ply over the whole bottom of the box and cut a hole in the other end. Gives it some sort of place for the eggs to sit in... saves taking the box off (ps. I tryed to do that a while back, and i couldnt get it off. I dont want to break it..)???

She has moved some of the shavings out, but where she layed she has moved all the shavings away and down to the other side of the box.
