Patio Aviary Protection
I would suspect rats as the prime suspect but nocturnal birds of prey are also a possibility.

Patio Aviary Protection
Chances are I would think if it is happening at night it wouldn't be butcher birds. EXACTLY what did the injuries look like as that can be very helpful in woring out what it was as sad as it is to recount it.

Freaking Out
Don't forget he will be quiet for the first few days probably anyway so the main thing is that his cage is clean and ready, most other stuff can wait

Patio Aviary Protection
It sounds like a rat to me or possibly a nocturnal bird of prey like an owl or a frogmouth

Patio Aviary Protection
Many patio aviaries have wide bar spacing, do you know what width it is? Also if your budgies sleep on the bars at night a rat may have climbed up and bitten them while they were sleeping.

When And To What All Ages Of Budgies We Can Deworm
That's the one would go with as I know Piperazine is often used in bird and small animal wormers Ivermectin is simply ivermectin, that is what the ingredients will show. Most people won't have a helpful photo of that to show you as over here we often buy it in little clear glass bottles which aren't the original bottle.

Watery Poo
What sort of rearing food is it Deb? I get a soft food mix from Vetafarm which is designed for adult birds as a breeding supplement so maybe something like that might be a better option than a true rearing mix

King Parrot Needs A Name
SW, you forgot Michealangelo and he's the RED one! :hap:

Probotic
Given probiotic is recommended by wildlife carers to give to orphaned birds I can't imagine it would be a problem to give it to breeding birds :hap:
-
Watery Poo
Why not just put a small amount of soft food so that it will sustain her but she will still be hungry. Might be best to put her back on it fully for a ccouple of weeks to get a bit of weight back on her firt though. Don't forget babies at Roxies age do loose a bit of weight naturally though as well so don't feel too bad as it is naturally a tough time for them

Advice Needed - Yet Again
My vitamin supplement recommends treat water made with a teaspoon of sugar plus the vitamins to encourage them to drink, I think apple juice would be better though if you have it.

It is my favorite bookshop as someone that has studied the natural world at uni, I get their email updates every couple of weeks or so, I always love browsing the titles on offer and they often have good specials.

Breeding
I missed the 50cm deep, I was thinking it was 1.5 X 2m in width. Do be careful in that size. You might be better off taking one of the pairs out and giving each pair their own space.
-
Breeding
That is a great size for two pairs. If they get along well with each other normally then hopefully extra boxes may solve the problem. Put them all at the same height and as far fromeach other as possble in order to discourage competitoin for boxes.

How To 'start' A Compost Bin?
I bought myself a large compost bin last week but I'm not sure how to get it started. I've been told I need to add other stuff to it before I start adding vegies, does anyone have a sure fire way to get it going properly?
