Can 2 Spangles Produce A Albino

An Important Petition
Didn't know about the neutering but I still think it's a bad idea. There is an old saying that it's a 'death by a thousand cuts' first we allow a neutered kitten in, then an un neutered cat and so on. I personally think it is a bad idea to set any sort of precedent for them being allowed into the country at all. I have seen dogs and cats worth thousands end up in the pound unweanted, these things will get big and troublesome and then people will regret their purchase when they can't control them anymore so they will get rid of them. Many unwanted cats get dumped in the 'wild' regardless of how expensive they were to start with.

An Important Petition
These things will now breed with our regular domestic cats thoug. There is nothing that says animals being imported have to be desexed. People will pay the dollars for them and then breed more in the hopes of making money off them and the price will gradually come down. You have to look at the long term prospects. There is also no rulling that says people have to keep these cats in an enclosure or anything, would you like one of these jumping fences and eating your regular pet cat!!

An Important Petition
http://www.snakerescue.com.au/ They have started a petition to stop the importation of the so called "Savannah Cats", a cross between a domestic cat and an African Serval. These things are twice the size of a normal cat and can jump 2 metres high in a single bound. There are now moves to import them into Australia as 'pets' where they would most likely increase our feral cat problems. Because they are a hybrid with domestic cats the regular importation rules for exotic species don't apply.

Pairing Advise Please
Don't worry throwback I can handle blunt Im not sure if her wings are as bad as they look if that makes sense. She holds herself at a funny angle because of her bad legs and it makes her wings look revolting, on the odd occasion that I can get her to stand up straighter her wings look much nicer. I have really got NO idea why anyone would breed that combination but I am still interested to see what he has hiding. :fear This is only a test , mating anyway so it is more about understanding his genetics that anything else. Should add too TB that my birds are unrung and I have no plans to show with them any time soon, this is all practice, learning how to combine genes and seeing what results I get, all my babies goto approved pet homes only. When I do feel that I am ready to get into showing I will be doing some more research and buying myself some 'proper' show birds to get started

I'm gonna give the grey a go first, if we are lucky she is able and he is split blue and we might get a blue baby out of him The grey is three years old so I would like to breed her if I can now and keep her babies but I would be happy to send one to you, atleast I know where to find it for a future joint project if necessary Even if he isn't spli his babies with this girl will be so they will stil be good for your blue gene pool...

Ummm..... And You Thought Budgies Were Bad!
I was trying to take a photo but my camera is just too slow I called him inside to give poor Sascha a break so he is lying in the family room watching NCIS now

Ummm..... And You Thought Budgies Were Bad!
This is my beloved bunny Frankie with his best friend Sascha: There is only one problem, Frankie doesn't quite get that Sascha is not the same species as him, he's in love He and Sascha play all day but come the evening when Sascha is starting to run out of steam Frankie has taken to trying to get a bit amorous with her. It's rather funny really, like some kind of cosmic payback for every dog that ever tried to hump a humans leg Luckily for Frankie Sascha's about as tolerant as they come and she just ignores his advances, but he just doesn't get that she doesn't love him the same way :hap:

Yep They're my fluff balls! The grey one escaped from the aviary the other day as I was going in and couldn't even fly out of the backyard, she ended up on the grass and I just picked her up

Pairing Advise Please
She was actually in condition until about a week ago which is kind of annoying. It doesn't matter now though because Ozzie is in quarantine so I have a little bit of time up my sleeve, I've brought her in and put her in an indoor cage and I'm feeding her up so I can be sure that she has everything in her favour when I do put them together.

I was hoping you would say that I would like to let her have a go atleast once, so we'll see how she does.

What Should I Pair Him With?
Wuth a yellow face you would get birds like Fiji If you want to keep his blue I would pair him with a skyblue such as Pretty or in any of the other patterns that take your fancy. If you are after chicks wi particular markings then you need to be specific about what you want if it is only the colour then any skyblue will be fine. I have a yellowface version with the same brilliant blue in with a hen now and I am praying for babies from them soon so you never know

Pairing Advise Please
This is Ozzie: He is a double factor spangle masking dominant(dutch) pied (his pied markings show through his DF spangle ) I want to test mate him and I have two girls to choose from, I like the idea of putting him with the grey as I would like to know if he is split blue but I would be interested in others opinion of these girls, they are both opaline. Note that the grey girl has mild ricketts so she naturally can't stand as tall as her green friend but she is actually bigger than the green one in general. Also ignore the dirty faces, these two both came from the same place and both have a penchant for wet food, they tend to dive in head first!!

What Should I Pair Him With?
I'm sure I could come up with a nice spangle girlfriend for him You just need to tell me if you want the blue spangles like he has or the black spangles like they are supposed to have Do you want more skyblues or do you maybe want some violets and cobalts? Do you want yellowface babies? If we are talking a years time then maybe Ozzie's baby since they should be nice spangles

Unbelievable!
I'm guessing you have ruled out her plucking them?

Aviary Wire
Mice will get through the smaller wire though anyway, just don't forget that. Unless you get wire which is 5mm x 5mm or similiar you will still need a mouse guard.

Rats Again
The chook farm probably already has bait all over the place Neat
-
Aviary Wire
I have never had an issue with square wire of that size with my budgies squishing through but I wouldn't use bars of that width for budgies. My aviary was given to me and the wire is heavy duty 2 x 2 cm stuff and not one of my birds has ever tried to get through it. I wouldn't use it for finches though

My New Activity
Yeah Furby was a rescue, he went too. I can't help giving them names especially if they are special like he was.
