The thing I don't get with the grey and violet gene is this. Where did it come from? Like it must of come from somewhere, the chances of going out to the outback and finding a grey green I imagine would be very low... yet I've read some people refuse to put greys into their stud because it tends to take over... (I don't know if their fears are justified or not)

okay so I had a dream last night and in it was someone's bird named bibble... I know I've seen the bird here on the website but I can't remember who's it was... anyways, In the dream I got a df spangle and bred it to a dom pied, and I got some dom pied spangles... So my question is, would that pairing result in some of the chicks being dom pied spangles AND would they look like bibble?

Chrissy there is no point in leaving the site. We'd all miss looking at your birds. For someone in the middle of winter in the US you certainly do a good job of keeping your birds happy. I hope you choose to hang around. Back to the original topic of this thread, RIP did a good job of showing you other combinations that you might want to think about, whether you decide to swap them around or not I am sure you will have lovely looking chicks. And I look forward to seeing what results you get. If you do swap the pairs around make sure you post the pictures of the new pairs

Does anyone know if Mulberry trees or the berries are toxic? I love mulberries and I know the wild birds love them just not sure about budgies... it isn't listed...
