  1. See I guess it is perspective... I like the show type bird, but I'm not really interested in showing... I understand why a bunch of people give up and go but I sometimes wonder if its because of the birds or if its because of them being more concerned about winning and not being able to breed "the best" birds according to judges...
  2. Is mickey your pet or is it a wild mouse? Personally I wouldn't put a mouse with a budgie... even if it was my pet. I would take Claude to the vets to get checked out... keep us posted.
  3. Sorry I don't know of anywhere online to buy it...
  4. looking fantastic Liv. Very Cute
  5. that breeder has to be a top breeder... to be asking that much for his birds he has to be going pretty good. Contact your local Budgie club and ask who they would recommend in the club... there would have to some breeders in the club that sell for less than $50...
  6. Pearce I know exactly how you feel... still no sign of X here... its so frustrating.
  7. its hard to say, it could... Your best bet is to contact the breeder and ask about the birds sibblings... if the breeder is close by even go and check out what it's brothers and sisters look like and what they are producing...
  8. Yes that is true, both of the males of each pair are very dominant and never let other males go near the hen's, so it should be accurate enough with the genes, Will be very interested in finding out what chicks you get... I once knew a man who was very dominant... his wife had a kid that looked like his best mate :hap: if it happens in humans good chance it could happen in budgies...
  9. No idea what sort of pied but it is a male.
  10. :hap: look forward to seeing them
  11. off the top of my head (and I am no expert) Grey wing dilutes the colour of the bird so you might find that it is actually a cobolt greywing... That said I am sure someone will be able to tell you what you can expect either way... hopefully one of the experts will be on soon to help :hap:
  12. very cute :hap: Thanks for sharing
  13. not sure what letters are on sa rings...
  14. yep sounds about right
  15. Does anyone know if its safe to feed birds? Its a fruit, and you can drink the juice of it... they say it has medicinal benefits in humans just wondering if its safe to give to birds...
  16. there are a couple of members from Perth here that could help you I'm sure
  17. Oh please lets not kid ourselves... AFL is not a ladies game, it does require a lot of skill and is a great sport. I think the biggest mistake people make is by comparing the sports. To me Soccer is a great game to watch, sure it takes 90 minutes and at the end no one might of scored but it is still a great game to watch. Then there is League. Again pretty good game. Lots of skill involved, the scrum in League has me a little confused but I'll still sit there and watch it over a TV series any day. Union, in my opinion 1000 times better that League. Fantastic game. Requiring a lot of skill and fitness. I could watch that any day of the week. Then there is Aussie Rules. Love that game too. Sure the shorts are a little to short but hey its a great game. I think with a few rule changes that they have made it is becoming a little soft but its still an extrememly intense sport played at an extremely fast pace. I took a Canadian friend to a game the other week and he was like, this seems like a game was modern but the outfits looked like they were from the 1800's...I told him he wasn't far wrong lol. He loved it though. So basically what I would say is this, as long as you don't try comparing the different games called 'football' they can all be enjoyed.
  18. how does the sale work Heath?
  19. They are all great but I love this photo... so adorable!
  20. I haven't heard that it does but if he's losing feathers I'd probably stop using it and use another treatment...

  23. I have noticed that sometimes X props himself up on one leg, and its always the same leg... I've checked it out and I can't seem to see any difference compared to the other foot. There doesn't appear to be any swelling or cuts... here is him standing on both legs... and here he is standing on one... is that normal?
  24. I think he was saying that we would stamp our poverty and Hunger as well as giving everyone a budgie...
  25. good to see you have your priorities right
