I remember reading along as you removed the small shed and put in the big shed. I was just starting to come to the site and it amazed me just how AWESOME your shed was and that you were pulling it down for an even bigger/better shed. I believe I still have that thread printed out somewhere should the pictures/thread ever be deleted. I can tell you for a brand new convert that was thinking about getting into budgies it pushed me over the edge! So glad it did!

Haha, The quote you are refering to is one of my favourite all time quotes from Australian politics. The miraculas thing is Australians voted him in after he said that!!! I can only imagine just how bad the opposition must of been... Don't think testing for drugs would be impossible to police, just think it would be way to costly for a hobby like ours. As for the Organics and GM though, that would be extremely difficult! You'd almost need to have spot checks done and raid bird rooms I can just see the Budgie SWAT team now...

I think RIP and Matt are putting forward the arguement that each bird will have a maximum size that they can reach due to their individual genetic make up, and the right food will simply allow it to reach that potential. No matter how good you feed it it will not go past that potential. If thats where they are coming from I would say that makes sense. At the same time I'm sure they would agree that if you simply bred birds and fed them the cheapest seed possible they would go no where near that potential. Therefore as a breeder if you want bigger birds you should feed them the best quality/amount of food possible.

They are GOOD! I'm not much of an art collector so I can't really guess at a price... Try going to arts and craft stalls at markets and see how much things similar are going for...

Food does play a part... Even what the parents ate while while mating could help. I don't think it is Solely down to nutrition, but it does play a part. Much like what a women eats when pregnant can effect the child.

Nothing = zero, zilch, nada, not a thing... I believe you will find many countries experienced freak waves, while it was not a tsunami I believe it does not equate to nothing either... you are right you do tempt fate every day when you git in your car. When you drive down the road and you see a yellow sign with an animal on it what does it mean? Look out for wildlife that may be crossing the street. You may go past that sign every day for 15 years and never see the animal that is on the sign, but that doesn't mean that they should remove the sign. It's a known stretch of road that wombats, kangaroos, possums, (add any animal) cross and you need to be cautious. Same with the Tsunami warning... They didn't tell you to evacuate, they just advised you that a Tsunami could be on its way... Thank goodness it only amounted to larger waves in most places this time...

I think some of the old topics are intriguing... I would suggest however in your post to point out to everyone that it is an old thread... Infact if you can be bothered searching you may find a few threads I tried reviving a fair while ago... some interesting stuff there thats for sure...
