Amy do you know what brand that aviary is? It looks like a great one, and will incorporate into your dream plans well. Look forward to seeing it fill up with budgies What are your plans for both flights at this stage? Are you planning on breeding in one and having non breeders in the other, or will you be breeding elsewhere and seperating your birds male/female or young/old?
  3. Seems to be a very hotly contested topic in the Budgie world
  4. Awesome. Actually I have an 'Aunty' that lives in Canada now. She's over in Toronto. Said it's beautiful up there. Might have to pop up for a visit. My mother has always wanted to go on the train up through Canada... and now that I think about it a mate is currently Snowboarding over in Baniff (spelling??) He's loving it there. The more I type the more Canadians/people holidaying in Canada I know... Guess it must be nice
  5. Stupid question but I thought it anyway... There are inhabited islands in Canada? I just wish Australia had an Ice Hockey team... that was decent. It's just not big enough here. Not enough competition to raise the skill level.
  6. I was in Samoa when the Earthquake/Tsunami hit, not a nice experience. Thank goodness the most that happened here was nothing like that. Yes, it can be very tedious when you have warning after warning (which Pacific Islands have due to the vast expance that is the Pacific Ocean) but I also assure you something does happen sometimes. The problem is at this stage Scientist's can not accurately determine how big the waves will be... The Tsunami in Samoa was devistating. I would not wish that on anybody. To ignore the Tsunami warnings is to tempt fate... Before I experienced the Tsunami I, like lochlan, thought that nothing ever happens... I wish that were the case.
  7. Can't wait to get home from work and watch it! Heard it was a fantastic game!
  8. Like that alot Amy S. Looks great.
  9. nice Thought you might be interested in a budgie breeder from Canada, I love the look of his birds! http://web.mac.com/idealinbudgies/iWeb/ide...es/Welcome.html Hope you like
  10. Just found this thread... Really Impressed with the aviary, both the current one and the dream one
  11. I agree with the others... even by doing all of this there is still a chance that fighting will occur... some would say an extremely good chance.
  12. I knew there was a link posted somewhere KAZ but couldn't find it
  13. if you do a search for Colony breeding on the site you will find a lot of instances where this happens... It is best to have all the nest boxes at the same height, and spread out. You also should also double the amount of nest boxes in order to minimise this occuring... Hope this helps...
  14. Congrats KAZ! ( I wasn't around when you completed your aviary...) hahaha Bigger Congrats on the new Grand Daughter!!!!
  15. Let us know if you find anything, I defaulted to a sketch pad and graph paper
  16. 2 per pair and its best to have them all at the same height...
  17. Must of been a good day, no one's had a chance to login and tell us about it
  18. the mum won't know where the eggs are thats why she won't be sitting, do you have other nest's at the same stage that you could foster them into?
