I had a guy tell me once that you do it with cards... blacks are dominant genes and reds are recessive genes... thats all I can remember about it though lol. So I don't know how you make figure out what the black ones do or the red ones...

okay so on my hen the code is... CL3 06 004 BCV You wouldn't put down which state the bird is from in the code? you'd just put the CL3 004 and then year (06)?

If you go to the FAQ section of the forum and in the Instant Response option type in Quarantine Program you will get a great quarantine program, I use it for all my birds that I get (2 so far) :question: As for getting birds into breeding condition... I have no idea there... As MB she's got my two hens at the moment and is wondering what she's going to have to do to get them into condition :yes: And just to confirm a change of diet can cause a bird to go into moult... It is always good to try and slowly change their diet...

I take it that you use it to help kill of megabacteria?? I haven't used that one...

I wouldn't introduce a new cock bird... How many more eggs are you expecting to hatch? If you were only expecting 6 I would foster the 2 oldest out if possible... If you are expecting more, foster the oldest two out and once a new chick hatches to continue foster the oldest chick out. Good Luck. And please let us know how it all goes :hap:

In short, size... pet types are smaller than Show types... sometimes you'll hear pet types called Australia, even american type and then you might hear show types being called english budgies..
