Breathing in the dust from dry concrete is not good for humans... you are meant to try not breath it in. But that being said, you never see workers wearing masks. I'd try and keep them as far away from it as possible when you are laying it, but once wet and drying... there shouldn't be a problem.

Poo stuck on the vent is NOT good... it can block it and stop further poo coming out... which is very bad for their heath... If it were me, I'd catch him, and clean it ALL off. I'd rather a slightly stressed bird for a few hours than a dead one in a day... just my opinion though.

I must add... I am very impressed with your attitude and commitment Pearce... you ask lots of questions and ALWAYS listen to advice... Hats off to you. Your birds have an awesome owner!

Agree with Pearce... the two males will fight over the female... best to stick with one female and one male per breeding cage. And agree with kaz and others... wait a few months and see how they go... he might mature and 'get' what to do!

Shame on us... I can only imagine her predicament... and how 'tight' her belly must be. My best friend (human) is pregnant and due end of Feb and her belly is so tight... It's hard to imagine how bubs can get any bigger... and how it comes out of where it does OUCH!!!
