Which Vacuum Do You Use?
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! They're the ones I've seen... They are in the catalog for $69 and $99. The only difference I can see is one has wheels as they both seem the same but I'll have to look at them. We have one at work and it's also treated like cr** and it still sucks!!! lol

Hi, Everybody. I'm New Here
Hi and welcome to the forums. He's adorable and congratulations. (sorry for the loss of your other bird ) Here's a link to SAFE WOOD. If you check your back yard or local park (make sure they don't spray), you can use branches from there for his perches. Some members bake them to remove nasties, or you can scrub them down with vinegar and boiling water and leave in the sun to dry... then add. He'd love some fresh branches too, to nibble on. Just be sure to hose them off. I hope you feel very welcome here. We have loads of information in the FAQ's and we also have a search function to look for anything in particular. And remember... ask away if you can not find. We are all hear to help and share our knowledge.

Which Vacuum Do You Use?
As you alll know... Gucci and Dolce are my first inside budgies, and I'm finding my 'al cheapo' vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to suck much up, let alone bird seed or feathers. I find I vacuum and much of it still seems to be there... so I'm thinking of getting a better one. ( current one is 2000w and a bagless) I have seen some wet and dry ones at Bunnings, I think they are called Shopvacs? They are on wheels and are often used if workshops etc... Does anyone have one of these and if so do they work... If you have anything else, please let me know. Thanks in advance

Budgies And Holidays
If I am correct... both consist mainly of WATER... which can cause the runs. So they may eat them but both contain very little nutritional value, so you'd be better of feeding them something better.

Recommended Toys For Budgie Christmas Presents
:28: :28: :28: So true!!! lol Check out this topic : DIY toys and this section: Setting up a cage/aviary... there are heaps of toy topics in there. You and the kids could make some toys for them instead of buying them . Good luck and I look forward to seeing your creations or bought gifts!

My 3 Crazy Lads
What a lovely photo... thanks so much for sharing . The wing clipping is such a personal choice. I have decided to keep Gucci and Dolce's wings clipped for their safety around the home... not so much in fear of them getting out. Just remember, what ever you decide is not permanent... they'll either grow back or you can re-clip them.

My Sons Diagnosis
I'm so pleased you have the answer you have been craving for for so long! Research it and learn as much as you can... you may be able to find some good books or articles aimed at children, so all your kids (esp the older ones) can learn why he is the way he is... I'm thrilled  (I'll chat to you further over the weekend...)
