  2. I clean out my cage... remove loose particles. Rinse out. Then use a solution of hot water and vinegar, soak and scrub well. Then rinse and scrub with hot water. Dry with towel or sun if possible.
  3. Kids are so cute. I'm so pleased he went well. He's such a big boy. I'm sure he'll settle into his new rountine in no time and all will be fine.

  5. I am sitting here in my lounge room, it's 11.53PM and 35*C... bring on those snow photos!!! Love them Elly, thanks for sharing.
  6. There is HEAPS of information on here. You need to do a search for it AND look in the FAQ's.
  7. Hugs luv... keep us updated! xoxo
  8. According to Deb's husbands facebook page... really well!!! Come on Deb... we all want to know details!!!
  9. Agree with the others... toss the egg out. Up her night time hours and give her some extra calcium to help her along... She'll be fine... not your fault at all.
  10. I've been at work all day... very hot in our tin shed!!! and then went to my sister's place to cool down in the Air Conditioning. My beloved parents have been hosing the birds/aviary down... bless them. Most of the have gone to ground but Dad has been keeping an eye on the and added some ice to their water.
  11. I'm sorry he is having these issues, but great news that the solution should be quite simple. I'll keep you in my thoughts, and hope for an awesome outcome.
  12. It sounds like 2009 is the year for you. I'm so excited. Congratulations mate xoxo
  13. I have noticed a few heated topics of late... some of which have had to be closed and/or removed due to the content becoming out of hand. Just a reminder to EVERYONE here (whether or not you have been involved in such topics or not)... It is okay to have a difference of opinion and it's okay to discuss this with others who either have the same or a different view on things. Just remember, your opinion is just that... an opinion. The staff do not have a problem with these discussions, but please try and remember to keep them about the topic in which they were started, and don't take over the topic. I'm sure many of us (including myself) can argue/discuss something 'till you're black and blue in the face... but you can't always change other peoples opinions. You need to pick your battles and know when to step back. Also remember, that personal attacks are NOT okay... in any way shape or form. Staff also have the right to close or remove any topics which are seen as out of hand or heading that way, and we will do so if needed. maesie, Global Moderator.
  14. You'd be better off using Ivermectin. One drop on the back of the neck and it's done (I think you can re-treat in 2 weeks if needed) SOME vets sell it but some require a visit first. Where about in Australia are you? A local budgie club or a member from here might be able to help you out with some.

I personally wouldn't be worried unless you notice it causing him pain or problems.
  16. She'll also start to do BIG poo... that is another sign of things to come!
  17. Coloured ribbons. My sister bought a golden lab and they all had different coloured ribbon colours... cheap as from spotlight or craft store
  18. Awww, mate. He'll be right as rain. He'll settle in no problems I'm sure. I know you'll struggle, but we're all here for you. Once you find out how much fun he had on his first day, it will be a breeze for the both of you after that. Even though you don't need it... I'll be praying for you all and keeping you in my thought. Biggest hugs luv You know where I am if you need me!
  19. Do NOT keep them together. If you know nothing about housing them and who they should and shouldn't be kept with, I suggest you RESEARCH them on the Internet before going out and buying them!
  20. Oh mate... so sorry on your losses xoxo
  21. See the answers in the topic you started about this.
  22. Oh mate... how scary. I'm glad she has responded well and is coming home. Hugs xoxox
  23. I agree with Elly... I don't see the point in giving it to them. If you have them on a balanced diet... they shouldn't need it, nor be fed it.
  24. That's brilliant news Luv  I'm so pleased for you. Life is too short to do things you don't like... or NOT do things you've always wanted to do. I'm the same as you... hate change and don't deal with it well... but take it one day at a time, and you'll be fine. I'm sure once you get into it you won't be able to wait until your next class. YAH for you :bliss:
