my friend karen has breed jack and jill a few times and so far there are 5 eggs. now i have another question do the males talk more than the females? my friend says jack talks more than jill Yep!!! Generally females aren't known for there talking abilities... but some do. Males on the other hand can talk the leg of a Donkey. Most of them imitate other birds noises, general household noises and can sometimes be taught to say words and phrases. Although, this may not be the case with every male budgie... I guess some just don't talk

So sorry for your losses Dave. It must be very hard. I lost the only three bubs that hatched in Nov/dec when they were still little like yours. I haven't bred since. I may try again, but for now I'm happy to wait. It really knocks you for 6! Keep your chin up mate!

Oh Mark... I'm sheding some tears for you and Huey. May he be free of pain and living it up in the world were seed and millet is never ending.
