Hi all, As many of you may remember, earlier this year my brother in laws Sister and her husband lost their 5 1/2 mth old son Archer. (Here is my original thread if you missed it) They are obviously doing it tough, esp with Mothers Day just passing etc... As you may also know, Red Nose Day (which raises money for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), is also comming up. Archer's father has organised an evening to celebrate the short life of Archer and raise money for SIDS. It will be held in Echuca in late June. The evening will involve an aution, a silent auction panel of guests (including AFL footballers) and will be hosted by Coxy (he hosts a weeknd holiday program in Australia). I am writing to to apeal to anyone who may like to help this worthy cause. I know many members here have special talents, what ever that may be. If anyone would be interested in donating something which can be sold at the auction (all money going to SIDS), that would be awsome. Please don't feel that you have to, I am only asking if you are interested. You all gave such wonderful support to me and my family during this time, and I know many of you have said it felt like you lost one of your own. Anything will be very much appreciated. If you are interested in helping out, please feel free to PM me and we can go from there. I am also willing to pay for postage or anything that may help. I will be going up to Echuca with my sister and brother to look after their kids for the night, and will be happy to take anything up. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and all your support thus far. Regards maesie xoxo
  2. Happy Wedding Aniversary for yesterday and I hope all is going well with your daughter!
  3. Awww, they're sweet as... and I LOVE your grey hen
  4. :hap: :hap: It reminds me of when we used to get my younger cousin to hide, and we'd tell her we'd come and find her.... but we never did. We used to go off and play. She'd come out eventually!!!
  5. Very cool. You 'three' are doing so well and congrats on the 'bite' free session.
  6. You have beautiful birds there. They are very sweet. Good on you for going to shows etc... to learn, I'm sure you'll find them very beneficial... (P.S. Love your nails!!! )
  7. I hope you find a nice surprise soon!!! The 18 days kind of feels like when you're a kid waiting for christmas...
  8. B E A U T I F U L birds there!!!
  9. Awsome!!! I want lots of pictures once he has settled in.
  10. I don't understand all that outcomes stuff... , but wanted to say congrats anyway!!! Yah for egg 1.
  11. Thanks guys! I was up bright and early this morning, so I decided to go out and candle the four eggs I have thus far. I didn't want to get all excited for no reason, as her last round was all clear. Great news. I candled all four and two have definate veins. The other two didn't, however, they are probably the last two laid, making them 3 and 1 day old and therefor wouldn't show any signs yet anyway... So, as you might expect, I am very excited!!! I'm very keen to get some greenies, as Tweet Tweet (the invader) is the only green budgie I have. Fingers crossed. I'm happy now to leave the eggs alone, and won't be re-candling them again (unless they are overdue). I wish 18 days went quicker
  12. Bumping up... Please read everyone!!!
  13. Awsome... it's going to be H U G E ! ! ! I can't wait to see it go up.
  14. = 4! All is well. She's not as quick to move when I do my checks, as she used to be. Dad seems to be doing a great job also and they both look great!!! I wonder how many she'll lay.?.?.?
  15. Hi and welcome to this wonderful forum. I'm sorry to hear about your little mate. I do hope he is one of the lucky once. I hope you stick around and get to know all of 'us' friendly members here. Please keep us updated on your chick.
  16. Awwwww Yah for bub two!!!
  17. Hi and welcome. It sounds like they are very busy raising them, but they can raise more... so I wouldn't be too worried. Try hard boiling an egg, then crushing it up, shell and all, and mixing it up with your veggies. This is softer and makes feeding eaiser. How are the chicks doing? Does it seem like they are getting enough food, are their crops full? If not you could possibly help them out with a feed from you (if you know how to do it). Let us know how you get on with them
  18. Yah Libby!!! Great news. I'm so very happy for you. They are very cute

Awsome!!! It all just takes time Good stuff and keep it up...
  20. Thanks everyone!!! (esp Jenene for your patience for this thread and your joy of having me back lol) It was an awsome time and got some great phots too. I loved the elephants sooooo much and would do it again and again. What amazing creatures! I hope to go back to Bali and do some things I didn't get to do, but I was also glad to be home. I missed my famiy, friends and all of my pets. What I miss from Bali... long days, relaxing, massages, cheap shopping, gecko's (small lizards) everywhere, friendly people, great food (and drinks), warm weather, white sandy beaches, not working, bargaining when shopping... What I don't miss from Bali... sweating at 7am, mozzies, burning sun, being hassled when you walk down the street (yes, I know I'm a pretty lady but I still don't want to come into your shop), weird smells, very low shower heads, 12 television station... all but two in Indonesian... Memories...
  21. Yah... another aviary thread. I will be following closely!!! Sounds good and congrats on getting the big go ahead!!!

As long as he knows where his water is, I wouldn't worry... If he IS thirsty, he WILL drink
  23. Congrats on your first (of many) bubs. What a sweetie. I hope all goes well with the rest of your eggs. They make a cute couple and I can't wait to see the results. I love it when they pair up on their own!
