  1. Good to hear all is well
  2. Sounds like some of my gang. I cringe every time they do it, it just looks so uncomfortable!
  3. Sometimes the stress of moving to a new home can cause abnormal faeces. I'd keep an eye on her, just in case.

Poor Romeo. I hope he makes a speedy recovery.
  5. In the FAQ's under 'Food and Nutrition' there's heaps of useful information. However, the fruit and veggies my guys get a mix of includes: Corn on the cob (they generally go nuts over this as it's sweet), baby corn, grated carrot, snow peas, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoe, silver beet, banana and apple (NOT the seeds). Plus, I add vitamin supplement (in liquid form) to the grated carrots. They also get both seeds, pellets and sprouted seeds and occasionally as a treat, whole grain bread, low sugar cereal (like weetbix), millet seed, honey seed stick or an arrowroot biscuit.
  6. Hi and welcome . Can't wait to see some pictures of your budgies .
  7. Its been a tough week...the cat and another few losses too. Ken is very depressed. Hugs Kaz. Fingers crossed things will start looking up soon :hap: .
  8. Poor little guy.
  9. All your babies are beautiful

Hi and welcome. I'm sorry to hear of your loss  . If it was the brach that caused the injury, what I do is sand or file the sharper or 'knobbly' parts on the branches down a little bit. It won't prevent accidents from happening, but I think it makes it just that little bit safer.
  11. My condolences Kaz. Rest in peace Barnsie  .
  12. She's a cutie! :fear
  13. Such handsome boys . As for plotting to take over the world, there's a possibilty they may be in league with my little devils, I often catch them huddled in a group 'plotting'....it's a budgie conspiracy! :fear
  14. Hi and welcome . Eucalyptus is safe for budgies. But I would recommend giving it a thorough wash before putting it into their cage.
  15. Things will start looking up .

:hap: Yes, chatting himself up in the mirror is his way to escape reality. Those nasty little budgies, giving poor Bumblebee self-esteem issues (Laughing out loud).
  17. Hi and welcome Kristy and Zeus :rip: .
  18. "cleavage budgies" are common at my house. Anytime an unwell baby budgie or a cold chick needa warming up they get popped in my bra as I walk about the birdroom or aviaries doing the chores. When warm they go back under the hen that will care for them best...their own mother or an "aunty" :hap: :hap: :hap: I'll have to add that to my "Pets I Wish To Own" list, a Cleavage Budgie, though I'd be a bit worried about people's reactions if I went about asking, "Excuse me, do you happen to have any Cleavage Budgies?" :rip:
  19. I have something similar to Angelic Vampyre, however my budgies won't go near the water if I put it in (they just have to be difficult (Laughing out loud)). As an alternative I use a Vitamin & Mineral seed and mix a tablespoon into their regular seed.

Thanks guys . I agree, I don't think there is anything cuter than a fluffy-but-not-sick-fluffy budgie....well except for maybe a wet budgie :hap:
  21. Agh! Poor you. Hope all gets better soon .

(Laughing out loud) . Love it.
  23. One of my budgie's, Titch, 'burrowed' and has grown out of it. :hap: As for the "cleavage budgie", I've never had one of those, but it's one of Bumblebee's (my Tiel) favourite resting places, which is a bit awkward seeing as he is quite a bit larger than a budgie (Laughing out loud). Look forward to seeing picture's of Luna.
