  1. Sounds like to could be scaly face, but as Elly said, its a bit hard to tell without a photo. The first sign is a white line along the join between the beak and the cere.
  2. It looks great, and when its resized it will be perfect If you have any troubles resizing, please don't hesitate to ask.
  3. It can be a sign of mega, which is something you don't want them to have. Its a fungus. I have a new bird with a bit of a tail bob and i am thinking "ARRRrrrr i don't want MEGA!!!!!" Actually it would be really helpful if someone could post a video of a sick bird tail bob - or is all tail bobing a sign of sickness???
  4. What a bummer!!!!! and things like that happen at the WORST possible time Ours blew up this time last year. 2 days before Hubby was leaving for the UK, and just after we moved into our new house and were totally broke!!! Why cant a washing machine get it into its thick tub, that we want them to break down when we DON'T need them urgently, and have money to replace them!!!
  5. You poor thing I get like that sometimes and for me it's an anxiety attack - I find sleep is the best cure to get rid of the horrible shaking and nausea. I am pleased you are feeling better

  8. Here are my birds Cinnamon Grey Cock - 06 - from VIC He is (i think) quite nice and will be Lady's new husband. He has a bit of a tail bob happening so i will get on top of that before quarantine is finished -hopefully its just stress. He has had a HUGE week being driven from Vic, then all the commotion before and after the auction. My DF spangle Hen - 07 I really like her - she was an impulse buy, but i have a normal YF2 Cock to put with her and i think i will get some nice chicks - I really like her and she seems fit as a fiddle (not bad for $20 )
  9. I agree that the pearl is a (pretty) hen and the grey is a cock. I feel The grey is a pearl. I have a pearl cock who kept thoes same marks on the back of his head after his moult.
  10. She is pretty :hap: Do you know someone near by the shop who can buy her and hold her until you visit again??

  18. There was 275 birds for auction and only about 80 people to bid so it was quite slow as the auctionerr tried to convince people to bid lol. 22. Hi Guys, I'm back from the bird Auction. I left early (11:30am) as it took over an hour to get through only the first quarter of birds - the only catch was i could not take my buys until after the auction was finished. A breeder from Gawler offered to drop my birds my place on his way home, which is really nice of him. I am still waiting for them to come, it must have been a HUGE day. The most expensive bird that I saw sell was $700 for a very handsome dominant pied cock I am sure there would have been a lot more expensive birds as there were some VERY VERY nice ones towards the end. I bought a normal cinnamon grey and a Yellow DF spangle. I couldn't afford any of the ones i really liked, but i am not breeding for show so i didn't mind buying the ones that were "average". I cant wait to see my birds up close - I will post pictures when i can. I hope the others had some good buys too - I saw Sunnie win a few before i left :hap: It was great fun and it was lovely to meet Tam, Lucy and Sunnie (again )
  23. The phrase "You gotta be in it to win it" is very true!! I haven't won anything other than a few fundraiser raffles etc. Personally, I think the money you spend entering competitions etc, out weigh the prizes you actually win (overall) - but that's just my opinion.
