My Budgi Is Sick!
I agree with the vet treatment. Also as MB said, Warm light. Other than that, there is not a lot more we can tell you without more information and/or pictures. A poopy bum and sleepy fluffed look is the symptoms of almost every budgie sickness. A vet will be able to test the poo, listen to its heart and chest, take blood samples, check the crop and many many other things. I hope you find out what is wrong with her.

Driving Me Crazy!
Hello and welcome :hap: I agree that it is a personality thing. Are you sure he is a boy?? Girls are often more cranky and bossy than the boys. Personally i would cover his cage when ever he makes that noisy screech, and when he is quiet again, take the cover off. He will take the hint and learn to be quuiter :hap: I had a tiel who would screech and i did this with him and he turned out lovely and quiet :hap:

Rats- Its My Turn For Them Now!
secure your aviary, because it will only be a matter of time before they are in causing havoc. I haven't had rats yet (thank god!!) but i believe their tunnels are just big enough for them to scurry through comfortably. I hope you get rid of them before they cause any problems

Hi All
Hello and welcome :budgiedance: He is a very sweet looking boy. He looks like he has rickets (calcium deficiency as a chick) making his legs and feet weaker. My Scooter has rickets too and he is just adorable As Nerwin said, he is older than 3 months, I'd say he's about 6 months old. Is he flighty or quiet. You will be able to tame him but it will take a lot longer than if he was a baby.

Dominant Budgies
Not a "special" food like pellets or anything. They need a good quality seed and lots of fresh vegies every day. You can also give cooked eggs, multigrain bread too when feeding chicks. Soaked seed is also good for feeding parents. Budgies need calcium in their diet all though the breeding period. I give a liquid supplement in their water.

Dominant Budgies
Just guessing on your types. Your male might be a Yellow face, type two Opaline. Your Female sounds like a sky blue dominant or recessive pied Your cage is big enough to allow them to breed I am so pleased you are doing your research before you put the nest box in as there are so many things that can go wrong. Take a look at the FAQ for some great breeding advice

Budgie Seed
I have my aviary feeders on the ground in kitty litter trays. The litter treys help keep the seed off the ground but still allows my quails to eat fresh seed I haven't had mice problems yet as i have plugged any gaps in the aviary with steel wool.

Our Talking Cheekie Boi!
What a spoilt boy I have two tiels who are out ALL day on a special play stand i made them, and only sleep in a small cage too. I will probably get in trouble for saying this, but in special circumstances there is no point to a big cage when the birds are not in it unless to sleep at night. If for any reason though he spends more time in his cage during the day, he will need an upsize.

Unknown Cause
Sorry for your losses as Dave said, it can be very difficult to determine cause of death. Some other causes include.... Mice/rats getting to the birds food and water can kill an entire flock overnight. Wild birds that can poop though the wire can bring nasty diseases to your flock. Lack of food in the cold weather can kill birds as they need food to maintain body heat. and there are many more...... I hope you find the cause and don't have any more deaths.
