Great news!!! budgies love their veggies really, they just don't know it until they try it Hope they tuck into the other veggies you are going to try. Mine love carrot, corn on the cob, peas, beans, broccoli, spinach, snow peas - they also eat what we eat.... non organic.
  3. Thank you for all your quality advice and knowledge. I have learned so much from you and your brilliant topics. I wish you every happiness and i look forward to your return. Liv
  4. WOW what a sight -I wonder if its are rare variety????
  5. The added moisture in the fresh food can give them funny runny poop. As long as it returns to normal within a day, then everything is okay
  6. Hello and welcome. Sorry its not on better terms, but you are in the right place to get all your answers He dosen't sound good to me. He needs to be separated from your other budgies and put into a smaller cage. Shine a 25-40 watt light on him to give him warmth, and get him to a vet as soon as you can. Have you wormed your birds in the last 12 weeks??? Are any others sick?? Is he underweight - can you feel a sharp breast bone? Oh and your budgie isn't gay.... they just get it mixed up sometimes
  7. hahaha!!! don't worry you are still FAR better at mutations than me I had NO IDEA of the colour hehe
  8. I can just see the vets face when you walk in with all your terrors -----> you want me to worm.... ALL these hehe. Just a question.... why the vets for worming???
  9. Wooo hoooo!! I got one right
  10. Oh no. The poor little guy. Sounds like you have been doing everything right - how is their protein intake?? The only thing i can think of is it's birth defect????
  11. Now i am pretty sure the first one IS an opaline spangle. The other one is an opaline greywing ????
  12. They look adorable - i love baby pics
  13. I had watched the video before... I'm just a bit slow tonight... i get it now - I bet they are planning a Millet heist!!

Mine have the plastic balls too - they took a while to warm to them, but they like the ones that hang up, better than the ones that just sit on the bottom. Budgies take a while to get used to new toys... give it time and their natural curiosity will entice them
  16. They are really nice parrots - I love Nibbler sitting in his cuddely bed
  17. I look forward to tomorrows updates
  18. They are lovely, great buy I can hardly ever leave a bird shop without bringing someone new home hehe
  19. You could breed a pair happily in there, but if you are going to use it as their full time home, Id say around 6 birds tops.
