  1. Get them in a hospital cage with a warm light (25 - 40 watt globe) shining on them. Give them a drop of avical directly to the beak and keep them quiet. Do they have an egg bum? Do they have a dirty vent?

  3. Look how they have grown!! They are gorgeous! Great photos
  4. I think it depends on the male. I have 2 males that like to sit in with the hen and I have not found any issues with it
  5. I am so sorry for your loss  Biggest Hugs :star:
  6. She is gorgeous. I think she is around 5 months old The breeder must have handled her a lot for her to be nice and quiet still
  7. Oh my, what a roller coaster ride you have been on I am so sorry for all the troubles and losses you have been having. I havent had much luck either this round
  8. I agree with Kaz. Very pretty opaline hen! stunning buy from a petshop!! And i agree with maesie to turn around your perches - it will save her tail from getting frayed and she will have a little more room to fly
  9. Hello and welcome He is beautiful. He is looking a little under the weather to me. He looks a little fluffed up and stressed. Moving from an aviary, to a petshop and then moving again to a new home can put a lot of pressure on these little guys. Perhaps put a warm light (25-40watts) shining into his cage and see if that helps make him feel a little better. I hope he settles in nicely and i look forward to updates
  10. I am just dropping in to say welcome too
  11. Oh no! i hope you are not dealing with PBFD
  12. OMG that is nasty !!! i hope you get it all under control very soon!!
  13. Hello and welcome  I have a single male canary and he is beautiful - he sits on his swing and sings all day. I would definantly recommend a canary as they dont require stimulating attention and dont need as much space. However, budgies are adorable too. I would recommend a male budgie over a female so you can enjoy their constant chatter. Budgies need a cage that is at least 40cm wide 30cm deep by 30cm tall. A single budgie needs to be bonded to you in order to be happy. Budgies unlike canaries need to be bonded to someone or something. Budgies play with their toys, can learn to talk and have lots of fun doing tricks. mine has a little ball he throws around the floor  So really its up to you what you want. both birds are beautiful in their own ways, so it will be upto which type suits your needs.
