  4. Have a safe trip Where is the Land of the Long White Cloud?
  5. Your male looks like a YF2 so the baby could be a YF too If the male is green (as sometimes its hard to tell) then all babies will be green unless he is split for blue
  6. I could try and show mum how to pick food from under the beak and look for splayed legs etc. I had so many issues last round i really hope this one will be better There are a few breeders around here but i don't know them very well yet as i am only new at the club.... I'd feel uncomfortable about letting someone i don't know well into my house and yard while i am not there I will get those self feeding jar thingies and was thinking about mixing budgie starter or some sort of dried food with the seed instead of fresh food for the time??
  7. I am going on two short holidays that are really close together in the next month. One will be for 4 nights and one will be for 3 nights (with 3 night at home inbetween them) I will have the second round of babies in my cabinets then... and my first show pair will have their babies. What do i do to make sure they are okay for that time? I normally check my birds 2-3 times a day so leaving them for this time is really stessing me. I will have my mum visit, but other than check food and water, she is not experienced in anything other than seeing if the babies are alive What should i do?? how do breeders go away for short stints?

  22. Hello and welcome. Is it possible to post a picture of the plucked budgie? Normally its the parents who do the plucking at it can take some time for the feathers to regrow - if they regrow. if there is any current bleeding still, there may be broken blood feathers that need to be pulled out. pictures will help a lot if you can post some
  23. Congratulations!!! :anim_19:
