Bella's Misshapen Feet
As already stated, it doesnt seem to be making her uncomfortable, and i too would put it down to either malformation whilst young or lack of nutrients... I'm unsure if anything can be provided to strenghten the toes/bones now, but perhaps a Vet can help you with that conclusion...

Breeding Advice Needed
Haha you did well dmcminn :hap: i would've left it at you'd get no blue chicks unless he's split to blue Also with the clearwing gene... What you described as a recessive gene dmcminn is infact the rules of a sex-linked it would seem.... If the clearwing gene is recessive like dmcminn said then all chicks will be split to it... unless the recessive pied carries the gene, then and only then will it show in chicks... other than that a second pairing would need to be made to bring it through in the offspring of your first couple...

Help! Hen Possibly Pregnant
Hi max, Karen has given some excellent advice... Remove your nesting box for now, until your birds are in peak condition and you've learnt more... You don't want to risk the life of your new hen when breeding if she's ill or else you could possibly have alot more deaths on your hands... (the chicks)... There's Thousands of articles on this forum of proper care and breeding help so take your time, get your birds healthy and once you've learnt as much as you think you can find, re-attempt it once they're in better health. Don't forget if you're ever curious you can ask forum members experienced in breeding if there's something you dont know, are unsure of or just genuinly interested :hap: Good luck to you and your birds

Petie And Bella!
I personally Petieandbella... would not say that australian newpaper is harmful to budgies in any way shape or form as most cages are lined with it. As a nesting material unless very finely shredded would not be appropriate as it's too light and would bury the eggs. Like other members have said your birds are far TOO YOUNG to be breeding. A pregnancy at the hens age could results in some very horrible outcomes. It's best to do some research, get some very knowledgable contacts, the right equipment and some patience to learn it all before attempting to breed. When i was younger (11) i thought i could breed budgies even though i knew nothing about them or their reproduction, I was however one of the lucky ones who didnt lose a budgie thanks to my ignorance, but many members on here have had close calls like me, or even worse outcomes. You've done the right thing by asking about your birds and seeing if what you've done is right... So my suggestion is in the time you are going to be waiting for your hen to mature, to get as much knowledge on budgies and the reproduction, diet, care and all other aspects as you can. Good luck to you petie and bella and I look very much so forward to your outcomes later down the track

What Mutations From Italy
Ah no, i wouldnt say it was a clearwing it's either greywing or cinnamonwing
-
Sick Budgie
yeah, it just means he's replacing the old with the new you'll see little hard pins starting to form on his head mainly and depending on his age if he's young you'll see the bars on his head receading backwards a cm or so from the cere
-
Sick Budgie
Probably a moult as he's too old for it to be something like french moult
-
What Mutations From Italy
I've no idea what a white wing is... but it's look like what's called a greywing here... The spangle green is an opaline spangle green as he has green through the spangling in his wings and lack of barring on his back/head area And the last hen is definatly a cinnamonwing hen
-
Second Opinion
My guess is recessive pied (because of where the colour is on the body) that picked up a flash in it's eyes to make it red... i think the body colour looks more mauve/grey than violet also
-
What Mutations From Italy
First pair : Normal sky/cobalt cock to a cinnamon/greywing sky blue hen... i can't quite tell form that picture... Looks more greywing compared to your other cinnamon wing hen second pair: Light green opaline spangle cock to a normal light green hen third pair : sky/cobalt normal cock to a cinnamon sky hen
-
Second Opinion
No Viv not all cinnamon violets are female :fear just a higher percentage generally due to cinnamon being a sex linked gene.... I can't see the cinny markings :hap: but i do the red eyes hey if she's going to a new home... SEND HER MY WAY :hap: JK! gorgeous as always tracy
-
Best Buddies

Line Breeding

-
Golden Faces?
I wouldn't say so, no... I think his body colour just happens to be more washed out than the concerntrated face colour :hap: As the face colour itself still isn't bright enough, atleast not on my screen :hap: still gorgeous!
