Is This Behaviour Normal Or Strange?
Sounds like normal behaviour of a bird andrew They love to preen! and picking a poopy bum is his way of cleaning up Perhaps If his bum is dirty you should worm him? If you have no wormer and you're ever in my area, just pop in and i'll give him some for you Other than the poopy bum all vitals okay ?

Clipping Blinkie :(
I think it sounds like a good decision if he's being that much of a pain, perhaps only clip 2-3 feathers on each wing? he'll be able to fly still, just not as fast nor high

Eucalyptus Leaves?
Hahaha YUCK! No luckily they don't do that although after long periods exposed tow ater they turn brown, and stain pavement/pool bottoms and such
-
Eucalyptus Leaves?
When eucalyptus leaves are put into water they won't go all mushy, they're very water resistant and Not Capable of the amount of osmosis needed to take part To make them that way, even leaves left at the bottom of a lake or pool for weeks won't turn mushy, although may grow some Slime (algae) on them The minerals, oils and vitamins in the leaves/barks Won't be drained from the branch after a few minutes in water and a scrub, it's mainly to remove pesticides/bird/bugs & disease all should go well for you andrew with a quick wash of the leaves, no detergents used though

Not Sure If Hen Is About To Lay Or Sick
I'm sorry to hear that She may not be liking you peeping/handling anything in there... perhaps if you're doing it often give her a bit more space? thats when i notice hens throw out their eggs, when interfered with
-
Eucalyptus Leaves?
I'd personally rip some off the tree instead of the ground, less chance of being pooed/peeed on by a dog... and other problems...
-
Budgies Eyes
I understand it is portraying a normal green in the picture, but to someone inexpeirenced who owns a R.Pied i'd have thought it could possibly get confusing?...
-
Budgies Eyes
I was going to say if they're yellow and green like that bird perhaps they're not normal green at all but a Pied?
-
Not Sure If Hen Is About To Lay Or Sick

Not Sure If Hen Is About To Lay Or Sick
hehe awww!! poor Roger tell him Stiff Sh*t he can have it back when he looks after the "missus" more Try already Husked seeds, the left overs of their daily meals ... I find they throw it out less than the wood shavings and it settles well in the bottom of the box

Not Sure If Hen Is About To Lay Or Sick
Well done on working out the pictures, i think you'll find the birds will be quite happy to breed in there, i know i would... Great diet, lots of room, cool toys and such good job... P.s. Take the mirror out little word of advice in that respect, it'll distract them P.p.s. Love the kid peeking out from behind the cage in the second picture

Coconut Toys
They look awesome Bea!!! you're so creative! Bet my birds would be feeling ripped off right now if they could see those

Question About Purchasing A Budgie
Weero's are cockatiels... just a west aussie name for them No unfortunatly all we're normal aged as they were rung One thing that came good out of that because i would've felt awful was the two already disabled birds survived which i happy about because they have a new lease on life in my aviary and are spoilt rotten.... Dodgy breeders huh... what can ya do... Unfortunatly most of those lost were hens, so i was left with 8 males and 2 females... although one i beleive is a trannie hehe
-
Talking Budgie?
A mirror won't stop him learning to talk, but it will bond him to the mirror ... My weero was bonded to a mirror and only talks to it... he says "what ya doing" over and over again to it but won't utter a word to us
-
Shell Gritt
