  2. I don't know much about NSW unfortunatly WA is very secluded so there isn't really much point in knowing places in other states... If you have MSN and can go to somewhere and buy a 14 gauge crop needle i can show you how to via Webcam.
  3. He really needs to be crop fed and placed in a very warm atmosphere... Crop feeding is essential at this stage so that he doesn't get any into his lungs and he won't voluntarily eat it. Do you know anyone nearby or a vet who can do this for him?
  4. Have you check his crop for contents? feel it to see if there's anything in there? Does he feel light, is he fluffed up and is there unusual looking poo's?

Go fish! Chore, favourite? Never ever :hap: Although I like watering the garden, but that's hardly a chore it's more of a relaxation technique Do you sweep more than you vacuum?
  7. I'm sorry to say but it sounds like it's too late for him unless you work quickly and can work out what is causing it. I find that to be their final position when they start to fit (legs back, wings flapping, neck rolling). If it's a chill and lack of food that's done it he can be rescued if you can crop feed him and raise his body temperature drastically... if it's for any other reason there's probably not alot you can do but sit by and hold him until he passes Rarely birds will come out of the fitting stage unless it's body temp and food that's done it to them.

Go fish, but I have strawberries i'm "trying" to grow Do you eat all your veggies?
  10. It's not always age that gives you knowledge :hap: Age gives you wisdom, because you've been there, seen that, know the outcome... it's commitment that gives you knowledge You could be 10 and you'd know just as much if you wanted to learn it
  11. Don't say that Kaz I'm near you haha and you know how i love your birds You've proved very valuable to the forum Neville, the amount of knowledge you have is amazing :hap:!
  12. Haha I got half because i added an imaginary mutation into one of my descriptions that I thought i saw
  13. *drools* Man! I love sootica!
  14. It definatly does draw you in, that's for sure Everything about the "budgie culture" does
  15. Well you can, some show clear signs when young, but you can always tell from parents.
  16. Type one means the birds body stays blue and the head is yellow (the yellow doesn't effect the blue of the body or wash over at all) Type two means the birds body is blue and face yellow initially, but as it grows older the yellow washes over the blue to create different levels of colours (sky blue goes to "seafoam" cobalt to aqua and mauve often goes to a dark green) all blues turn to some varying shade of aqua/blue/green The bird in my DP you enquired about is a type two seafoam.
  17. You're right there Liv... Yf1 Df's have white faces, type two's don't... I guess I just presumed she meant type 2 LOL!
  18. Grey's dominant so prodiminantly yf greys...
  19. If you want bubs to look like him i say go for it
  20. My god! How lucky are you! Best thing I get here is Lori's eating my palm trees, galahs eating the park grass haha or Doves eating the leftovers dropped by the birds! Nice view by the way! lucky duck!
  21. Going to have to buy some yellow face birds I'd say
  22. She's definatly lutino. Lutino's still get iris rings and their eyes look a deep reddy purple and the iris rings slightly yellow looking. Paired to Angel you'll get 50% opalines and 50% opaline spangles like dad. all green unless the cock is split to blue and any other hidden mutations the pair may have. Paired to ducky you'll get 50% spangles 50% normals some cocks split to opaline and Ino and some opalines or opaline spangle hens
  23. Ahh who knows then, but being red eyed (presuming they weren't plum) they could've only been a few things... Ino's fallow or Lacewings If plum eyed then Recessives, cinnamons or Df spangles
  24. Agree with liv, the little red guy in the middle is cute as!
  25. Xena - Recessive pied Ducky - lutino Angel - Sky opaline By the look of those photo's however i'd probably say Xena is a cock.... Don't hold me to that one though. Recessive pieds still trick me alot Lovely birds What would you like to acheive from the offspring of Ozzie so we can advise you on what to pair him to?
