  1. Nice score Norm! What a very pleasant suprise on both of them !
  2. They're both dominant pieds and not mother and son, they're both the same age. The one on the left is a Yf2 cobalt dominant pied who has another mutation mixed in as her body colour is diluted alot. The one on the right is a violet/mauve dominant pied, again would need back photo's to tell you exactly.
  3. Congrats Can't wait to see them, they sound pretty already
  4. Have a wonderful day! Hope all goes to plan and all the effort you put in pays off!! P.s. we definatly need photo's of the happy couple and your little men

  6. Lacewing is sex linked The rules: Hens cannot be split Cocks can be split reproduction outcomes: Lacewing x lacewing = 100% lacewing Normal/lacewing cock x normal hen = Normal cocks Normal / lacewing cocks lacewing hens Normal hens Lacewing cock x normal hen = Normal / Lacewing cocks lacewing hens Normal/lacewing cock x lacewing hen= lacewing cocks Normal / lacewing cocks lacewing hens Normal hens Lacewing hen x normal cock= Normal / lacewing cocks Normal hens
  7. I use personal coded club rings on all show types bred, other than that I now don't ring anything. I used to ring pet types also, but not anymore.
  8. I say it's a creamino :fear They'll only produce ino if they have the gene, inbreeding alone can't create genetics that aren't in their blood So you didn't only get ino because the parents are related The dad carries the gene in split form and seeing as his mother is not ino his dad must of either been Ino or split to it for it to be passed down to him
  9. I agree Jenene, not enough attempts were made to save him, so many possibilites un-explored, and for what? Money! Like i said, I'd gladly give up my savings to feed him, and i'm sure many others felt the same way if money was the problem for the goverment.
  10. I heard he's been put down and it took several attempts, alot of struggling and stress on his behalf
  11. Go little Colin!!!!
  12. She writes her own custom episodes she'd like to be used as one in the series

  15. That's funny! Bob and i were going to buy the series, so now I'll be able to play spot the Liv whilst watching them
  16. Euthinasia is the next step, other than that try and get some airforce or navy equipment i think they said and taking him out to sea and seeing if there's a humpback pod that'll adopt him going past, but really, what're the chances of A - them coming past at all B - them adopting him and C - him keeping up with them in his weakened state basically it's feed him or euthinasia options atm...

Only SOME birds will have black beaks! You can't base the age on beak colour. I'd personally say he'd be between 5-6 weeks based on cere colour and how developed he is.
  20. They had talk of attaching a teat to the boat it continues to circle, I don't know why, but for some reason the way that Colin is acting towards it I think it would help. I'd willingly give up all my savings to feed him, and i'm sure there's many others out there that would also. I don't think funding is the problem, it's all the fighting over what is right and wrong that's stopping the progress on the decision to save him Poor little guy, I hope they feed him soon!
  21. :hap:!!!! Don't say that!!! I'm scared poopyless of needles! LOL!
  22. Definatly Ikon! I've lost 5 newly hatched chicks this week alone from having to leave them with inadequate parents who although feeding well let chicks get chilled! So being able to feed them good food and keep them warm is a step up to saving many bubs :hap: Plus this is full of fats and helps rehydrated chicks.
  23. okay, well, whilst bored and looking for new ways to feed young young chicks I decided i'd find an alternative to mothers crop milk for the chicks that need help along the way. This is what I came up with and has so far done it's job very very well :hap: Ingredients: (Makes roughly 1ml) 40 drops of water 1 drop of calcivet 6 sunflowers hulled 12 whole hulled oats *mortar and pestel* Steps: 1: - Get a mortar and pestel or some other kind of instrument for crushing and grinding. 2: - Get 12 whole hulled oats and 6 black sunflower seeds 3: - Hull the sunflower seeds 4: - Add all seeds into the bowl. 5: - Grind and smoosh :hap: 6: - Add 40 drops of water 7: - Continue to grind and smoosh! 8: - add 1 drop of calcivet 9: - Voila! home made crop milk! ADDED TO Faq under Recipes, pictures loaded to BBC photobucket
  24. I can do 60 but not 100 LOL!
  25. If you need any help at all with hand rearing, just pm me, but first aim is to find out whether the father has been feeding them or not
