Thinking About Upgrading..
Not to be rude, but l did post up a picture of a cage with very similar dimensions, and the only thing that people said was the bar spacing was too wide, which l already knew. So l went out and l found this cage, which was a bargain and very similar dimensions with the one in the above picture, so l bought it. I was so excited l took a photo as soon as l got it all set up with Sherbet in it and people are saying its not good enough? I had good morals, l wanted to get her a bigger cage, l could have left her in the cage she was in (half the size) but l thought of her and l thought she would love the extra room. She flies in the cage, not well, but to get exercise she holds onto the perches and flaps her wings and she enjoys it. Thats all l wanted to say, none of you commented on the size of the cage, only the bar spacing.

Thinking About Upgrading..
I took into account everyone's advice (thank you all so much ) and l bought a wonderful cage: The bars are nice and close together, its nice and tall and theres plenty of room for her Its her little penthouse It cost me $105 in total, for the cage and the table. The cage also came with 4 feeding bowls, 3 dowel perches and a swing. She's loving it to bits :(Laughing out loud):

Thinking About Upgrading..
Thanks everyone Sorry, l meant to also add that l know the spacing is far too large I just didn't know how to explain how big it was with the trolley thing with wheels on it... l wasn't sure if you'd know what l'd mean!! Just wondering, am l able to take the cage off the tray? Only because it would make moving it indoors much easier. Thanks everyone for your links and pictures

Budgie Buddy
Thanks guys, I rotate her toys around almost once a week when l clean her cage. Since she's on her own l thought it might be nice to give her a little "friend" (mirror) to keep her company. She talks to it at times but is very agressive and moody with me, my dad and her toys.

Budgie Buddy
I have a question about Budgie Buddies. Those things that are furry and you tie on the side of the cage which are supposed to represent a real budgie... Just wondering if l should get one for Sherbet? She's a very agressive thing at times, headbutting bells and biting and tearing into anything. Wouldn't the fibres come out of she attacks it with her beak? Surely these fibres are toxic or harmful if swallowed?

Thinking About Upgrading..
Hey everyone :budgiedance: I have recently been thinking of upgrading Sherbets cage size, l think she would love it. I have a picture here of one l would like to get: One like this, thats on a rolling-table. I will be going some markets tomorrow and having a look. Just wondering how much $$ it would approximately cost? (Australian) Thanks everyone

One Month
I tried some pear with her this morning, she was all excited because she was expecting apple, but with the pear she didn't eat all that much, still nibbled it, but l think she prefers the sweeter taste of the apple But, what she gets given is what she gets given, because l have to eat it too!

Please Mom...............
Aww In my opinion it doesn't matter what bird you came home with, as long as your happy, and the bird is happy and healthy Enjoy your new bird!

Please Mom...............
I remember how excited l was when l got Sherbet I also asked what they were feeding her, l bought some of their seed, but also bought some Trill, and l mixed the Trill and bird shop seed to slowly ease her onto Trill. I don't know if she would have refused to eat the Trill, but l thought it was a good idea anyway. I bought my cage when l bought my bird, and l bought the biggest one that they had, l know others here have said that pet shop ones aren't good enough, but l have posted pictures and have said its fine, just make sure its big enough for a budgie, try and get the biggest one possible, if not, the second biggest. Goodluck with your new friend

One Month
I have these dispensers l use which are tall-ish and are attached to the cage, l can fill them without putting my hand into the cage. The ones l was given with the cage were plastic, wide and a bit bulky, so l decided not to use them for water/seed. But l will use them for the carrot

One Month
It sure does! I play ten pin bowling in this league which plays once a month (every 4 weeks) and the one before today's league was when l bought her - so one month today

One Month
Great idea! This is the second time she's had apple. The first week we tried to give her some, but l think she was so scared that she didn't try it, now she loves it! With the slices/grated carrot - can l put them in the containers that l got with the cage? (the food and water dishes). I use the dispensers, but l have kept them just in case...
