  1. Lovely birds Kaz, good luck with them, hope you breed some little champs
  2. My yellow df spangle cock is my best bird and violet cock and the yellow df kids
  3. Chicks looking good Nubbly, hope your fellows are all fertile and all hatch too.
  4. Gb last year a lot of the birds went for reasonable prices (affordable but some did go for big bucks). You could be lucky and pick something up worthwhile. I wish I could get there but can't.
  5. It looks good but I am old school don't like changes, but I will get use to it. For some reason it is very slow for me than the old format. It can't be my labtop becaus eit was fast on the old format.
  6. A couple of update photos of breed room I started the framing but came to a stand still until I buy some builders foil to line walls and ceiling and more silicone I put the door clip thing on to keep it open the same as Daves. Wednesday I am buying the rest of the wood, foil, cylicone and maybe some insul bats.
  7. I have this chick the only one in the nest but the parents did raise other chicks, well I first thought it to be a cinn spangle earlier at a quick glance and I was annoyed by that but to think this is a dilute or cinn grey wing is worse. The colour is not cinn though more grey than cinn. I will tell you the parents after a couple of guesses. Bad variety anyway if it is a dilute or greywing.
  8. Congratulations Shannon well done
  9. Yes I was thinking the same thing. Or did you buy them too. Nice lut though for $20.00
  10. She is gorgeous. A real little cutie
  11. Oh that's awful RIP, I didn't know budgies can get that.
  12. Congratulatons lovely photo
  13. Macka do you mean run down the outside of the shed to the bottom and and into the shed. I have silicone inside and out now so we will see. The door is my main problem because of the big gap around it Finnie all the wood was in the shed and it got drowned from the rain. Today I made the frame work for the back part of the shed , very proud of myself, BUT i couldn't work out how to unlock the mitre saw so i had to go for drive about 20ks return to ask Ino how to do it. Easy once I knew how, so I have cutting away Feeling very independant at the moment
  14. I didn't want to cement it in jsut incase Greg I breakup or he dies, I want to take it with me if need, but gee there is soooooo much silicone around it now it would be a **** job moving now anyway. When it dries out I am going to silicone all the chanels inside the shed that might do the job. The water from the whirly is only a fine mist I think. But I can't understand why the roof is leaking. The rooten door is my main problem, I asked Greg if he would help me take the door off and drop it closer to the bottom and then maybe I could screw another piece of square steel or something up above the door to stop the rain getting in and then that only leaves the sides. Will take a photo tomorrow and show you the gaps in the door.
  15. Bad news my shed leaks really bad, inch of water everywhere, I think most of it is coming through the door because there is over a 1/4 inch gap on the sides of the door and a bit more on top and bottom of door. Some come down the whirly bird and believe it or not from the top of the roof in the middle and I didn't think that should happen, it's got me beat. BUT it's NOT GOOD ENOUGH, I am not very happy. Some come from under the shed where I siliconed so that surprised me, The rain and wind was strong, the rain was sideways. Unbelievable wind and rain plus hail.
  16. Today I bought half the wood to frame my shed (2 sides and one side of the roof) but found out I need that foil lining stuff first to go on the roof and the walls if I want. So I have came to a stand still again. Plus it is pouring rain and heavy big hail at the moment. So next week I will buy that foil stuff for the roof and seems I have to buy 30mt roll i will do the walls too. Turning out to be expensive. Found the perfect window today but they are brand new and really quite dear. 45cm x 45cm but I would want two. So thinking about it. I also found the perfect little sink brand new $25.00. thinking about that too. Picked up Clearwings mitre saw so that will help heaps.
  17. Very nice babies there Kaz, I can some awards coming your next year
  18. Hope so Dave, never really thought of it like that but hey your right 1 .....cooked car 2..... broke the windy thing in the drivers window in my car and still driving around with window down and sticking out , freezing in the mornings (waiting on parts) 3... broke a belt in my car and thought I stuffed the motor again but luckily I didn't a couple of days after getting my car back. Scarey. 4.....Friday just gone I got big splinter up into my middle finger nail, had to get my boss to pull it out because it was up past the start of the finger nail and that was from just making a bed It was a huge chunk of wood, Sandy couldn't believe how far it was in , I nearly fainted from the pain when she pulled it out. 5......sprained ankle today. Hey I am a walking time bomb I have probably forgotten about a few other things that have happen, I just take it all in my stride as if
  19. Thanks Dave, you just gave me a good giggle. I melted the frozen peas on it first then I moved onto the beans and then last but not least I used the frozen corn by then the ice had frozen for me to use that Poor birds that was their vegies for the next fortnight but they did get a good feed from some of what I defrosted on my foot Oh what really is annoying I can't even drive my car and I was going for a job interview tomorrow
  20. Yes maybe but I was rearing to go, all excited now I am layed up, not fair The pain is worse tonight than when it happened
  21. Thanks Dave that's a great help. Today i have been trying to work out how to put the wood for the framing on the roof. But it all come to a stand still because I walked out the back door and stood on one of Jakes toys ( a hard small ball a bit bigger than a golf ball on a rope, well I sprained my ankle and I went down like a tonne of bricks and what is worse is I landed on Jake , he was howling and I was crying. Anyway now I can't walk. Oh Jake is okay I just squashed him a little bit, BUT it was his fault that I got hurt. Darn toy.
  22. Back to the drawing board I will find something to suit my budget
  23. I looked in Bunnings and they were heaps more than that, very dear here. But will look again. Would that door of your be able to be cut down because My door way is about 75cm wide probably 190 cm high just guessing here.
  24. Yes Kaz Greg made one from my baby aviary into my breeding room, He got it from th tip the guy there recyles stuuf there so Greg got it for nothing and came home made it shorter and put bird wire on it. Great door. I will probably get a door like that but I would prefer security one becaus ethey look better. If I made it the way I have planed it will look good to but the Al tubing is not really cheap. So I guess I will probably go the cheapest way out but at the same time it must look good, You know this is my dream bird room Exactly the way I want it MY shed My way   Do what I want with it , god that feels so good!!!!! IT's mine all mine I own it:P all mine Greg has NO say
  25. I am going to Shepp Wednesday to check Clearwings birds so I will go to the salvage yards and have a look. But I really don't know where to find caravan windows though. I only want second hand because new ones would be to expensive i think. I am going to pick up my laundry sink tomorrow I think, I have a second hand one that has been given to me BUT I have my eye on a new one that is skinny, the same depth as any other but half the size in width which would suit me for the room but it is at Bunnings for $169.00 and the one June has for me is free so I will check it out tomorrow and see what I think. I am think of making a screen door out of aluminium 25cm square tubing using those connecter joints but at the same time I am going to how much security doors are at the salvage places too because the y may turn ot cheaper but have to work out if it is possable to cut them down to fit my door way.
