  1. They are looking good Renee, I have a 3 week baby that was doing good and yesterday I noticed it had a leg problem, seems to ne laying on its belly with one leg behind and when I picked her up that leg just stayed there like she can't move it weird.
  2. Wow Kaz you need to go back and try and get a picture, or chuck ya camera in ya car just in case as that is so interesting. We saw an albino magpie a few weeks ago, pure white
  3. When was the 1st egg due to hatch
  4. If they are only that young I wouldn't worry about her some of my hens come out and make all the noise in the world for some attention

    Anne Marie and
  10. I had a hen that laid every 3rd day. and this year one of my hens laid 2 eggs on time then waited 6 days to lay the next one and the next one was 2 days after that but the last 2 turned out clear.
  11. Dave's right she is probably getting ready to breed again, if the babies are old enough put them on the floor with a small box or something for them to huddle into.
  12. That's great can't wait to see the photos
  13. He seems to be doing okay, he is perky as ever so I guess he will make it
  14. Thanks Anne, yes he came 3 rd at the victorian young bird shield and was selected on the National team to go to tassie but he didn't go. I have taken him to two shows and both shows he has won best young bird in beginners and his sister the sky cinnamon spangle won best opposite sex to him.
  15. Thanks GB the markings are improving all the time, need to focus on the bulls eye spots now
  16. Thanks Anne and Kaz Kaz my spangle markings are much better this year than previous years and I am really pleased with that.
  17. Thenks Nubbly I will work on the suffusion next year, I actually tried to to the Yellow Df with the suffusion (father of the nice birds I am getting now with a grey hen but she laid 4 eggs then attacked him so I took him out as I do not want to loose him, the eggs were clear. The light green spangle with a bit of yellow in his body must be random, that's not good is it for showing as his body is not solid. Thanks Kate but she is a keeper, even though she has suffusion she also has type and feather she will be used to improve my spangles and I am going to try DF spangle to DF spangle next year.
  18. Yep sitting up on the perch but his upper beak is a bit loose from whrere she tore it, I hope it mends on its own. Last year a hen ropped in to a lovely cobalt pied her daughter and ripped the beak off it was hanging by a thread. Greg had to put her to sleep no beak no food. But this little guy seems to be okay, the beak is attached but ripped one end nut it looks like it will heal.
  19. Very nice Shannon they are looking good
  20. Macka the white is 5 weeks old next Thursday and the sky is is 2 days younger so he is 4 weeks today, The white one came out of the nest yesterday for the first time and there is a hidy box on the floor but that didn't save him. They are not feeding themselves probably yet and the hen is on her own. Before dark I checked on him and he was sitting up on the perch so I hope that is a good sign. Hoping he doesn't die from shock.
  21. A member from my club showed it was less scary once I was shown probably.
  22. When out for lunch todat and came home to check on my babies and the hen attacked one of her babies this is him a few days ago this is him now and so far alive, she bit his eye and a big tear across hi cere she has never done anything like this before the so and so he only came out of the nest yesterday This his brother a few days ago this is him now a big change
