I would love to come and see how my 2 birds go, lol But I think 2 weekends in a row weekend in a row would be to much for babies when they need to travel so far.

I know Macka, i had to take these photos today and send to Rod for the Budgie News front cover but I gave him greens and never gave it a thought until this avro when I took the photo, so I guess I will try again tomorrow, Rod said he might of got one that was okay but boy was he naughty in the end. At least today he perched but still wouldn't relax. Oh thank you Kaz, I am glad you can see that because he is normally a show off. You can see his length too. He is a really big baby. I really didn't even want to touch him today, I just wanted him to relax and put his weight back on that he lost yesterday.

Thanks Kaz and Corey. I had a cry in Greg's arms before after he told me off for doing it and even Geoff told me to stop listening to people. So I was scolded then hugged. Kaz I knew you would and I remembered what you did with Omelette., but to think I did it is just awful. But it would look pretty with some white flowers, somethings like snow flakes. My white boy was my main bird and his dad my second main bird and the violet my 3rd and the white boys brother in order after that. i only have one sister left.

Thanks Gina, yes I am stoked and also very proud. My win is for all women breeders out there. We can do it. It does seem to be a male hobby but us females are taking over lol. On a serious note every person there yesterday were just wonderful to me. Oh except for one elderly couple.

My sweet boy is now in the freezer, i had second thought about how to bury him and changed my mind. So I have frozen him until Wednesday or Thursday when I go shopping. I will buy a large planter and a small white rose bush or white flowing plant of some sort and put him in there. I think that would be fitting for such a beautiful boy like him with such beautiful showmanship that he displayed at shows, a true gentleman he was. I will place it near the bird room and then I can look at him all the time with loving memories of my sweet little boy

Thanks Renee, but I never really used him to his best ability, but his brothers are throwing me top babies. The babies that both won the shields are from 2 of his brothers. So I hope nothing happens to them now. Oh Gb he won me 3 new show cages this year with the new perches and powder coated fronts.

Yes I buried him but no trophy, I like them in the display cabinet and the rest are power tools that I won from him. GB can you do me a lovely portrait of him for me please. AND NO it was my fault I reckon I pumped to much water in him and it went into his lungs or what ever, I was told 10ml and I thought that to much so I did 4 and a bit, I think 2 ml would of been plenty for a budgie. SO yes my fault and I just fell awful. I gave him mouth to beak and pressed his little heart but nothing worked. I loved that bird so much he was my pride and joy, I decide when he won my ultimate prize, Grand Champion that he is retired now, He would of been 3 years old in another couple of months. Bye bye sweet boy.

My white boy, my Grand Champion white DF spangle has been unwell for a while, he had gone a bit light but was coming good after a cocktail of meds. I went out just before to crop wash him with lemon juice and water. He was fine running around the cage his bum was fine. but he was grinding his food a bit but he still had some food in his crop because he had put on some weight. I was going to crop wash him then put him back on the mega and doxy treatment. Now every time I crop I always panic because I am scared the needle will go down the wrong way. Well the needle went down the right way and I put the solution in and he was fine but I think it was much mls because he was not happy with it but when I sucked out the solution he died , he was dead in my hands, I am so upset. I kept saying sorry to him, I am a monster a brutal murderer. I can't believe I killed him. My poor boy he has won everything for me and I did that to him. I am so sad actually balling my eyes out. I loved that bird. I know he may not of made it anyway but it is just horriable that I did it.

LOL I was thinking, that must be a new breed snow birds Gb, but then I couldn't sleep so I am tired as. lol.

They are on the mantle piece at the moment along worth all my Trophies from yesterday. lol the only time it is peaceful here is when night comes, they even start chirping by 6 am. lol. I just had to go out to the bird room and turn the light on, it is the time I have heard them smash in the cages. They were all going stupid, poor little things.

That makes Chookie and Mattie, lol I guess I'm their Splatty now.lol Thank you every one that has congratulated me , I have had everyone at the shield congratulate me today except for one couple, there is a reason for that though. But really every one has being so nice. Thank you Kevin for taking me to the shield and being very kind to me because I didn't want to go and I asked him to take my birds and I was staying home. But he insisted on me going because he said today he new I would do well with blue and to think I was going to scratch the blue yesterday too. I have to admit he got lost coming home and we headed for Bendigo, so it took a lot longer to get home than it should of. The best thing is that Kevin has offered to take me to more show in Melbourne next year if I wish to go, so I thought that was lovely of him. And thank you Gb for a great day and lunch.I did wave good bye and yell out as we drove out the gate but you were to busy yakking to notice. lol Ha ha it won't last long, I have to admit they are noisy little things and that is what annoys him the most, you can't here yourself think through the day they are so loud. lol.

Yes Kaz he was wrapped, he said he couldn't believe I rang back and said I won best bird in Show. Oh and we were sitting out side tonight talking and he said He has been taking a bit of notice of the birds in teh last week and he he knows what I mean about it's hard to cull because there are a lot of good birds in the aviary and some really top cocks. So he now understand I need to keep a few more than normal, sort of anyway. lol

LOL yes Rachlem but they couldn't get a photo of him because he had enough, I have to take one tomorrow and email it down. But here is what I took Sky after he chucked the whoopies and refused to perch, he has spirit lol him at home yesterday The spangle today at the shield. this is the spangles brother he didn't go because he has pin feathers where he was plucked but I think he will be nice too. Thank you very much every one, I am just over the moon. I am on a high. I took 2 birds a blue (sky blue) and a spangle (light green). I got 1st with both birds. The sky blue went onto win best bird in show. Yes Macka I am not happy because after my wins I relised I have the points to go up to Open and I wanted to stay in Intermediate for another 2 years. I only got to spend one year in Intermediate . sad. Lucky I only took 2 birds. What so funny Sheppard and Flanigan told me at the end of the show that they were coming to my place to buy birds, lol. I said yeah sure, I think they were joking. lol But I did beat them today in the blue class. Kaz Can i buy my white boy back my boy is very sick. sad. just joking though

Thanks Dan, yes I wonder what I lost sometimes, because I lost all the yellow DF sp cocks chicks to his daughter and granddaughters and I lost nearly all his sons the white df sp to his daughters and half sisters and I was expecting great things from them this year.
