I have a good answer for that we have some one around here I have to be careful not to get my self in deep water but this person breeds hundreds of budgies for the market, the birds are squashed in a few small aviaries way too many birds for the size cage and this person just chucks food on top on all the husk , this person has been know to sweep up the seed at bird shows and take them home to feed the poor birds, there would be dead birds in the aviary but this person wouldn't even know because there are so many in there. This person would be classed as a bird mill because this person only breeds to sell birds. And they are not looked after probably, Kaz you breed to show and you can breed more than most of us because you have the room and the $. You are no different than any breeder around here especailly in Melbourne and I swear if I had the room and the $ I would be heaps mmore than I do, and of course you need to get rid of the rubbish like all of us, even the ones that are good but not quite good enough. YOU ARE NOT A BIRD MILL PLEASE DEFEND YOURSELF.

Kaz they got their payment before Xmas so how will they suspend it. I will give them a chance to rectify they problem first. Just went to Shepp to get the adapter but can't try until they make contact because I good short it out if they didn't do the up grade for 220Vac, really sucks. BUT I really wanted they other one that's what's annoying me the most I DIDN"T GET WHAT I PAID FOR. And YES Renee Toooooo muuuuch Hasssssle and it's driving me battttty

Have done that Kaz sent 6 emails so far because I am so angry, when we finalised the deal they offered me a free upgrade to 220Vac and an Australian adapter which they didn't send, not sure about the 220 VAC upgrade , The model I wanted had the c-mount adapter and they one I got didn't. BUT really there is not much I can do about it. It would cost a fortune to send it back. Off to Shepparton now to buy a travel adapter to see if I can get it to work. more money really sucks, considering I thought I had everything covered, how much can I complain on ebay.

Good luck with your show renee BUT Won't it to hot in Jan Renee, do you have a heat clause like us , if ABC news says it will be 35 on their evening news for the following then the show is cancelled or postponed. And if any show carries on their will be no points given. But if the news says it will be less than the 35 then if shows go ahead the points are given, BUT know one around here will travel with their birds if it 35 plus. So I will cross my fingers and hope the weather is nice to you guys so you a great Championship show.

Thanks Nubbly, i was just sort doing my sick sense of humor joke there. Renee when the 2 members birds got the canker we all treated because I club is vey small not many members and those members were bringing their birds along to meetings along with everybody else, plus some of us had visited these aviaries before they worked out what was wrong so to be on the safe side we all treated our birds.

I am not against preventive medication Nubbly, I do it myself but I was just saying we should be careful to how much and how often we do it. Like I think to give them treatment for psittacosis ( doxy ), canker, mega and cocci plus worms and lice and mite all together or one after another seems to be over doing it. I am thinking poor birds. I know there is probotic in there to calm the gut etc. I guess I am in trouble for writing this This is the 1st year I have treated my birds for doxy, they were given trimadine a couple of years ago on the advice of the vet, My birds get apple cider vinigar with the mother in it put in their water all the time, adviced from the vet and I can say honestly I have never had sick birds, I have lots a couple over the years. Greg has done autopies on them and one had tumors as in cancer but this bird was 6 years old and the other had a blocked bile duct. And also the whole club treated their birds including mine for canker middle of last year because 2 members had it in their birds. These 2 members lost all their young. I treat for worms lice and mite one a regular basis and I do use a sulphur medication before i head for the antibotics but I am going to keep doing the doxy preventive treatment before breeding season.

Great do you have any photos of them Dean, I thought of buying large pieces of solid thick cardboard and designing it from there unless I can get cardboard boxes thick enough. I have also thought od useing the concaves too as that would stop the chewing through the bottom.

Medication is great and so is preventive medicine but at the same time you should be careful as to not to over do it. A wise man once told me to keep it simple and he said he hardly ever used antibiotics, his first choice of medication was a sulphur based medicine and then if that didn't work then he would move on the antibiotics. I think we are over medicating are birds and stuffing up thier natural immune systems. My opinion only But like your birds GB you have to medicate them and this under vet supervision but for other breeders like me that guess and medicated, I sometimes think we are not doing are birds any favors.

Thankyou Clearwing so the light colour wings ago on the show as why I am asking is because I actually like the lighter shade very pretty, aggghh typical of a female breeder to say that :what: most men would be saying.

Do you know anymore about it like the brand and maybe some ingredients etc, I know of breeders that you chicken starter.
