I don't know where you could get more of those perches from but I had an idea ( Before i got the aviary) there are wooden Mug holders that have a stand with 4 - 6 peg things ( dowel sticks to rest the mugs on ) you could try that ? But the GOLDEN GIRLS look like they love their new home

Guys, Just thought I'd update you all on Shayanne & Chereeoke.... They have been doing fine for "Special Needs"birds, But Chereeoke isn't doing so good?... He isn't as Happy or as Alert as usual, his poos are normal, but he is fluffing up, the house isn't cold! He is going back to the vets on Sat morning ( earliest appointment available) I don't know what it could be Shyanne is the same, they get multi vitiams and the same goods are the others...... I will let you all know how he goes on Sat....

Hey guys, I am a little concerned about Snow White, She just stays in the nest box I but her and Elvis in a Breeding cage hoping that they will bond and she just fights him off doesn't show any interest in him at all, which isn't worrying so much. However she just stays in her nest box there are no eggs, and I doubt she will lay any as she hates elvis. She is healthy almost 2 ( july) has all the goodies, Veg, Cal, Mineral block etc... she is sick. Is she just getting comfy or does she want to get away from Elvis that bad she has to hide??? Should I take them out? Or see how things go??? Oh P.S She does come out to eat and drink that is it though Advice much needed thanks

Hey all. Quick question: I understand that birds are either White base or Yellow based and can be split and have hiden genes how can you tell without knowing their history? Is it 1. the little patch on their face? 2. the color of their feet I noticed that my mainly White/Blue/Grey birds have grey feet and the Yellow/Green ones have white? Maybe a dumb question but I was wondering if someone could clear some light on this... Thanks all

Good luck with the Zoo specialist, If it is PBFD stress can flare it up, My 2 can't mate ( PBFD ) they are kept seperate, cage is kept spotless every day and before i go to my other birds I scrb up and put a hair net on ( So nothing goes in the aviary ) Kinda like dress up Dr's (Laughing out loud).... You will be fine,

PBFD - Is spreadable by wing dust contact and etc the others may have it and not show any signs if they have all been in the same cage it is highly likely... Still take to the vet....

Congrats on the pregnancy..... If the budgie needs it then just do it? I agree with elly on the finish on a positive note ( Just like kids : ) ) I don't understand just cause your pregnant that you need to stay away? if it is just a cold? But better do what they say to be on the safe side... How about putting your hand/ finger in there so he can still sit on it that way there is still contact.... All the best with this and the birth of your baby...

Hey all As I am sooo not good with the whole Gene = ? baby I would like some advice.... My pairs have finally found nest boxes They are Margoo ( M ) Opaine dilute and Starchky Normal (F) http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t200/Ne...gooStarchky.jpg and Elvis Gray Cin (M)and Snow white (F)...Snow white is an Albino and Elvis is below The only two that aren't with it are Prince (M)and (F)Ozzie Ozzie is either a Lacewing or spangle Can just see the pattern on her back... Prince has a little white dot/ patch on the back of his head So what do you think will be the out come??????

I am so glad i read thru the whole posts cause I saw greens eggs and me being blonde would of thought that is the color of a blue birds egg LMAO ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bubba's are so widdle and pink and cute and I WANT BABIES too ..
