  1. Yeah probably.... I honestly don't believe that this one will hatch looked thru it and there are veins and a little thing in there but i thought that the hen has to stay on the egg apart from stretching and pooing??? so i am not too sure how this re sitting thing goes, but i am the most impaitent person every *Bets KC i am worse then here (Laughing out loud)* This breeding thing feathers REALLY!!!!! someone give me a break lmao... everything is by the book , sorta the only think i can put it down too is the dryer in the laundry maybe that is incubating the egg, highlt doubt full, but i have not given up, just given up on the idea that this little egg isn't goona hatch , BUt there will be others ( THERE WANNA BE ) i want to see this through to the end, I also give up when the going gets tuff, time to roll the sleeves up and fight...heheh okay going a bit far.......
  2. I am sure that Kaz has answered this one... *thinking , thinking ARHH CAN'T REMEMBER.. *SEARCHING If there appears to be food in the crop all is well. If not, don't panic, but look again a few hours later. Often a newborn may not get fed for up to 8-10 hours. FOUND IT CARE OF BABIE BUDGIES IN THE NESTBOX
  3. She is showing no signs of stopping laying yet. She and her partner spent the time I was checking on the nests this morning to flirt with each other. I have not candled any of her eggs yet. I will try to remember to do it tonight. Feathers. HEy feathers can you let me know how many are fertile as I am "Studing" the look of them HEHE

    I'd go with the hemp one... Only because I was at the vets and seen the pics of rope toy and they had to pull peices out of the birds crops.... GROSS picture and thought, but saying that I had no choice and have cotton i just watch out for the stringy bits and cut them off

  6. YOUR SPOT ON .. She atarted sitting again... The egg i knew wasn't fertile i tossed, and i was spot on only a yolk..... I know Kaz is my mentore LMAO.... :angel1: I didn't have a "experience" budgie so they are all first timers....

  9. Hey all tis me again ..... I can't seem to find the answers I am looking for - Snowwhite has not sat in her eggs all day or evening so far, they have not been moved. 1. did i turn her off her eggs when i candled them 2. did she become bored and fed up 3. does she know that they won't hatch I am really disappointed kinda like not getting and pressie under the xmas tree... they were due next week and she has left them seriously i've been wanting this for so long and to have to wiped away so close..... All vegies and calcivet given and she is inside out of the cold, I checked the box every morning and night 1've touched the eggs twice both times i've washed my hands and dried them ( no smelly soaps used ) WHAT DID I DO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    First off all Hi and welcome, I am not too sure about the biting side of things however another member will answer your questions i am sure.. have you got a picture ( see FAQ on how to post ) of your new little one we will be able to tell if it is a boy or girl... Nothing better then knowing better then your hubby : ) usually females have white rings around their nostrils...... Good luck with your new addition

  17. I agree, what time to you leave for school? could someone else take the towel off or they could go to bed at 6.30pm that way at 5.30 you can take it off...... In all honesty my birds don't sleep that long maybe 9 - 10 hrs and they aren't ferrel.... I do cover them especially the outside aviary as it is freezing at night... Just do your best
