Oh Mate, Hope she gets better... I have the same question though is she 1 1/2 Months old or have you had her for 1 1/2 months her cere wouldn't be brown and crusty ( breeding condition) if she was 1 1/2 months old.... Is there a vet near by??? Vomiting clear liquid doesn't seem to be a good sign , But the others are true in what they say put her in a hospital cage and Keep her warm .... Also if she was just entered into the aviary when all the Boys where having their fun she wouldn't be egg bound straight away .. ( to my knowledge anyways ...Please feel free to correct me guys on this one ) ..... But I really hope she pulls thru ....
  7. The feeling of seeing eggs and babies in the nestbox is unreal I feel the same the very first clutch I have to the ones that are going now .... Best of luck to you and your new additions ..... over the rainbow where blue birds fly heheh they are both blue ... Oh a read to much into things (Laughing out loud)
  8. I've heard that olive oil works i don't see that harm any young how ever better check with the Pros ...
  9. I took the photo today and the unhatched eggs are untouched as you can see I normally leave the eggs alone for quite some time because i dont record when they where layed etc. I know these ones wont hatch now though, so what do i look for when i open them??? If you are absolutely sure they wont hatch...break them open to see if they were "clear" eggs or ones with chicks that have died in shell. It looks like you have two clear eggs there and the other two may have chicks in them. Depending on the age of the two in the nest...there may still be hope for the two remaining fertile eggs ....fingers crossed ....maybe ? The chicks are 7 and 8 days old... If there is a chance they could still hatch... then i will leave them for now Is this the only couple you have nesting ???... Starchy and Magoo l( mine ) had 3 eggs un hatched and I have placed them in another nestbox (as only had 1 egg) so if they will hatch then there is a better chance with another mum sitting on it
  10. So they will have the Gene But won't show in the chicks??? I'm better off getting a Fallow male??? to have fallow chicks?
  11. Hi Guys - I have a few questions what is the expected outcome of A Hen Fallow to a Norm I have no idea if it (Norm ) is carrying a fallow gene so let say no it doesn't Will it be 100% Norm 50% Fallow 50% norm or 100% Normal looking budgie with Red eyes?

  15. Thanks Feathers, I just couldn't do it ( Bad head trauma in 2000) since then memory and etc are **** ..... But here is what this dude said in the uk breeding violets -- you require one visual violet and one sky blue this pairing will breed you four colours 25% will be sky blue 25% cobalt 25% skyblue sf 25% cobalt sf which are visual violets the single factor sky blues will be a deeper colour then a normal skyblue. using a cobalt to a visual violet will breed you the same colourd above and also mauves. most violets are bred by accident in birdrooms that carry dark factor birds,i have one this year bred out of a dark green violet cock that i had no idea was a violet. I will just go with the flow i think
