  1. They are very cute. Maggie looks to be doing well. Was it Maggie or her Mum that used to scoff the food, or throw up, or something? Didn't one of them have some issue related to food before?
  2. Cec Gearing bred 2010 cock on the left and Dave McMinn bred 2010 Dommie Pied hen on the right A lovely pair of spangles on the left. Mmmm-mmm...beetroot Nice Dommie Pied Hen - 09 bird Same dommie pied hen with a very nice opaline cock/lutino Natural branches are fun as well as good roughage The big picture shot
  3. Some new - the red is beetroot, relax people. Kiwi and Twitch - still together, 6 months on. They might get another shot at parenthood. Both are stil young, and they seemt o produce some fine looking offspring. Offspring of Kiwi and Twitch - GreyGreen Cinnamon Wing Greg Gregoriou bred cinnamon greygreen hen - she is an 08 bird. When she went down to breed last time, she was an egg eater. Time to try her again I think. I love this bird. Jester - what a handsome boy - he needs a girlfriend I never get bored of this vibrant blue - this son of Dumber is a very pretty bird Quiche hanging out with friends It is like seeing double - Jester on the right with a son of Dumb and Kestral on the left The Mighty Caesar A young upstart to Caesar's thrown A 2010 bred opaline I bred next to a 2010 Cec Gearing Albino A hen i have never bred - tough when she may well be a cull bird - she has a good head on her Litte Greywing next to a beetroot mouth spangle 09 hen More to be added after someone has posted
  4. I think you are doing the right thing with what you are doing. She gets a very balanced diet from what you say. I would not go changing it now. As for the extra vitamins, they need to put them in dog food as most dogs do not eat or even get given cooked veges and rice. Keep going with what you are doing. I am sure that Maggie and the pups will appreciate it.

I am going to give hayden the benefit of the doubt and say that surely you meant show cage, but they why would it need a pop out box? maybe he loaded the wrong picture? Tell me there is some rational reason here .....
  6. Some good looking birds there - interesting
  7. Sorry to hear about the loss and the unborn pups Kaz. You are right about Cavaliers, they have a lovely nature. I am yet to meet a bad one.
  8. I know a breeder of them and have seen them in the flash. I do think they are a bit darker than cinnamon wings.
  9. She is a cutie and I am pleased to see that she is beginning to respond to the millet fed by hand. I do not think she will be too hard to tame and I think she will be a good friend for Django. As for money, I could not accept any - you are giving her a home. I am sure she will be happy there. I am looking forward to hearing more about her and her training, as well as pics of her as she continues to grow. Sootie is a great name for a little grey bird as well.
  10. You might be right. Camera's often distort true colour, so i will check and get back to you by tomorrow night
  11. She really is special. I like her a lot too
  12. Spangles take longer to develop compared to normals, so this guy will still be growing.

  17. It is not going to hurt her, and that is the most important thing.
  18. Some I have bred, some I have bought, but i am headed in the right direction I think. Thank you everyone for the nice comments.
  19. This all helps, thanks very much. I think I have developed a good eye for what makes a good bird these days, but there is still room for improvement. The pairing is the next thing i am working on. A lot to learn there.
  20. Now the job of finding the right hen for the light green one. The dark green one recently bred with a john hewitt hen with 4 good offspring
  21. Understood GB. No issues.
  22. I wish I could say I bred them. The light green is a Greg Gregoriou bred black ringer whilst the Dark Green is a John Hewitt bred black ringer.
  23. Thank you. I am trying to do my best to breed the best birds I can. I am going to take some to my first club show soon. I really do hope they do okay.
  24. As requested, a green cinnamon opaline hen. She was a great looking hen but she contracted some illness and despite being in quarantine for 2 months and treatment by vets in multiple occassions with all meds, she never recovered. Shame really as I think she would have produced some excellent young birds. Sorry, i cannot help with the violet requests.
  25. Nice pics. I really like your spangle sitting next to its Dad. Is it opaline like Dad? The little grey spangle is also opaline right?
